need advice on vendors

Hi All,
I'm newer to this site and have just booked my 2008 wedding at Swan Club!! I'd love to get some advice on some good DJ's, florists, photographers, videographers, officiants, hair and make-up vendors and great places to go for bridal gowns-mother's dress-bridesmaids dresses.

All help/advice is most appreciated!
Many thanks,
Christina

Re: need advice on vendors

I can recommend 12th Night (photo) Mittermax (video) and Bravura Entertainment (DJ). I love them all and they are so easy to work with. Makes wedding planning that much easier
FM with any questions, and best of luck!

Re: need advice on vendors

Wild Rose for Videography. Theya are just great people to work with.

In the Mix for DJ. I love the way they plan...very organized. They have a coordinator that works with you and they start planning everything two months b/4. Their organization skills have really put me at ease.

Georgous Faces for Make-up. She uses mineral make-up...great stuff. Doesn't run or streak and you look for natural.

Good Luck with everything.

Re: need advice on vendors

congrats and welcome.

although i am a new yorker, i'm getting married in 'joisey'

this means that some of my vendors just won't work. but, you did mention you were looking for an officiant. he lives in north jersey and will travel to ny.

his name is rev. adam gonnerman. he works as 'non-denominational' he's very caring and thoughtful. he's giving us EXACTLY what we want for our ceremony.

and he's also very good on the budget

fm me if you want his number.

good luck to ya

Re: need advice on vendors

Congratulations!

I'm using a band (body heat) but I've been to a lot of weddings done by Tommy Tunes and they are really good.

Florist- Loved Pedestals I booked them. Flowers By Brian were very good as well.

Photographer- I saw 9 photographers Ada was the las one I saw and I booked them. Affordable, Beautiful Pics and very willing to work with me. They are also doing my video!

Sherwood Triart- was my second fav but a little pricey.

Dress- I guess it depends on where you live, but I loved Paradise Bridal in Patchogue. I also liked Centereach Bridal Suite and Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point!

Good Luck!
