we are having 2 readers and doing unity candle - how should it go?reader

or

or something else?
I'm so lost on this....

I like the first one. I think spliting up the reading is a good idea...i think that is the part when people get board the most

Its not at a church, outside on the waterMy concern with doing unity candle last is that the mothers are supposed to light their candles in the beginning. If there is a breeze it might blow them out... Should i have them light theirs later or do the unity candle early....

Is there anyway you can put something around the tops of the candles to keep them from blowing out? If not I would have the moms light them later on.

I would have the moms come up and light them later on, then the 2 of you can light the unity candle together.You're right about the wind outside. It was so windy for our ceremony we couldn't light any of the candles!! So then we did it privately at our dais at the beginning of the reception.

We had our wedding at land's end and our unity ceremony was after the vows......we actually did a sand ceremony instead because we were worried about candles blowing out.Welcome New Vendors
