I just got a promotion! (And I have a question for you all)

I just was brought in to my SVP's office and was promoted to Director! Wooohoooo!!! I still am not a huge fan of my job, but at least now I feel like the work I've been doing for the last two years has been recognized.

A question for you all...does anyone know if there is a standard promotion increase in salary percentage? What are your thoughts in negotiating the offer? While I'm grateful for the increase (especially that I work in nonprofit) I guess I was expecting a bit more for a fairly large promotion. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!!!

My shower, my birthday and a promotion all in one week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations on the promotion!

How large of a non profit is it and what type of work do you guys do?

Increase depends on the budget, etc.

If you want, FM me for more info...I'm in non profit as well and might be able to give you an idea

Sounds like a good week!!!

As for the increase, I don't think there's a standard. I've been promoted 2x at the same company and got a great increase percentage-wise the first time and was extremely disappointed the second time (thinking i'd get something similar to the first one).
