Pictures at church?
I am getting married in a Lutheran church, and someone recently told me that my photographer might not be able to take flash photos. Has anyone heard of this?

Re: Pictures at church?
yep. typically the photographer can only so as far as the last pew. and they don't allow photography during the ceremony. its like that at most churches.

I have seen that in a bigger church they can not go past the break in the isle.

It depends from church to church - check with the officiant.

Re: Pictures at church?
My Priest said that he doesn't mind the flash photos as long as the photog does not go onto the altar, so that made me happy - I'll get my wedding photos I really want during my ceremony.

Re: Pictures at church?
It usually depends on the church and the priest...My church allows photography (not flash), but my priest (not the rector at the church) didn't allow the photographers to take any pictures except from the balcony of the church all the way in the back. We still got some great shots though because they used telephoto lenses.Just make sure you speak with your contact at the church AND the priest/pastor. Once I told the photographer about the limitations the priest was imposing, we came up with a plan so they could still get some pictures.
