NWR: Need advice on 2 separate questions.....UPDATE

1. If you were going to a place that was the seen and be seen type would you rather spend $120 on
a) an upgraded car like a convertible
or
b) a killer outfit

Also if you were given the option to either stay in your current apt but pay $100 more in rent or move downstairs and pay $100 less in rent (for almost the same exact apt just the LR is slightly smaller) which would you choose?
1) stay where you are and fork up the extra $100
2) move downstairs & save an extra $100

UPDATE:

1) I got the killer outfit tonight...it's hard to describe, it's a halter dress in black with blue designs on it and a handkerchief type skirt.
(I'm going to Miami alone for 4 days next month)

2) We ended up staying put, but not by choice. Our landlord told us today someone took the apt downstairs. So we're just splitting the extra $100 in rent per month equally between us.

I'd stay in the upstairs apartment because I hate people living above me. It's so loud!!!

I like 'Cheaper' apartment BUT I would probably stay upstair (much quieter).

i would go with the car upgrade

and i would pay the 100 and stay where u are....
1. less noise
2. u dont have to move all your stuff!

I would def. buy the killer outfit. I live in a downstairs apartment, and I wish I had the upstairs......I hear feet and tv's all the time.

I'd stay upstairs less noise, you don't have to deal with neighbors above you.

I probably should have mentioned.....we have our landlord living upstairs from us right now, so no matter what apt we have there's someone living above us!!

1. The outfit. Always. Can be used over and again. Unless you are rolling up in a unique one of a kind type car... not many people are going to notice anyway.

2. Is this 100 less than current (ie you are now paying $1000 but can stay and pay $1100 or move and pay $900) I would MOVE. That is a savings of $2400 per year! Even if it was simply moving to pay only $100 less than upstairs... I would move. it is an apartment... you won't be staying there forever and rent is essentially flushing money down the toilet each month... I would rather keep the extra hundred for myself.

Yes it is. We're paying $1500 and it's either stay and pay $1600 or move downstairs and pay $1400. The only downside is the downstairs is a semi-basement.

Upstairs. I've done both and up is a little more private and worth it.

Agree...

Like some have said already, the apt upstairs is quieter.

As for the see & be seen place... Totally the outfit.. more people will see you in the outfit than will see you in the car!

and i'd stay in my current appt. moving your stuff is a hassle and having people live above u is noisy!
