My wedding turned out to be a wonderful experience. I am really happy I did my homework with all the wedding stuff, because it really paid off. All my vendors where fantastic, and I had no wedding drama at all. I married the man of my dreams and I couldn't be happier.

The only problem I had was the weather. The weather report called for continuous showers, and T-storms the day of my wedding. Someone up above loved me, and It hardly rained. A few drizzles here and there. I even got to take outside pictures, and the sun came out a few times. Of course I wished it would of been sunny that day, but what can you do. The weather is the one thing you can't control.

Adrienne's bridal A
A lot of girls seem to have a lot of problems with them, but I had a pretty good experience. My dress came in on time and fit me perfect. I needed no alternations, so I can't rate them for that. Their customer service is okay,not the best. Some are much nicer then others.

BM dresses Adriennes A
None of my girls had a problem with their dresses. All the dresses came in on time, and the alterations where perfect. I found the staff in the bridal cottage to be much nicer and more helpful then the bridal part.

Flower girl dress, Bridal Suite Centereach A
The staff was very nice, and the dress came in on time and alterations where perfect.

MOB and MOG Dresses, Metamorphis St. James A+
They have beautiful dresses and the staff is so friendly and helpful! Both my mother and MIL dresses where beautiful!!
The only problem with them is they are a little pricey, but not bad compared to the bridal shops which where much more.
Alterations where very over priced, since they have a seamstress come in to do alterations. My mother brought hers to some one else, and they did a great job for less. My MIL had the seamstress from Metamorphis hem her dress, and she did a good job as well.

CJB designs Courtney A+++++
She is such a wonderful person and so helpful. Courtney made rehearsal dinner invitations which were beautiful. She made my Flowergirls bracelets and necklaces. They were so cute!! They were pink and clear crystals. She made them with extra links so they could be worn where the girls got older. She also made my placecards and they looked fantastic! It added a nice touch to have professional placecards, instead of ones written out by hand. There is a picture of the place cards she made in my wedding picture link below. I had both my bridal shower and rehearsal dinner at this restaurant. The staff is fantastic and the food is really good. I highly recommend them!!!

Invitations, The Writing Place Stony Brook
Village A+++
They are so wonderful to work with and store is really nice. They have many invitations to choose from, and the prices vary according to what type of invitation you want. I went the cheaper route since I was spending so much on everything else. My invitations where on time and very pretty!
I also got the digital calligraphy for my outer envelopes. It is much cheaper then hand written calligraphy, and looks great. It was well worth the extra money.

Favors Godiva Stony Brook Village A+++
I choose the two chocolate heart box. It was a white box with pink ribbon and a silver heart charm. I also got our names and wedding date put on the ribbon. I got one favor per person. It was a bit pricey, but it is what I wanted. They are very helpful in the store and I had absolutely no problems.

Chair Covers, The Finishing Touch A++
This was a big debate between me and my families. Everyone in my family especially my FIL said that chair covers where a waste of money and that I was crazy for getting them. My DH said he hated them and didn't want to waste the money. Well, I listened to no one, and decided I was going to have them. I went with Finishing touches because they work with my hall and have covers that fit the hamlets chairs perfect. Well, the wedding day came and everyone saw the hall for the first time with the chair covers. Everyone including Dh and my FIL said that they made the room and that I had made the right decision. Let me tell you, that room looked fantastic with the chair covers and I am glad I spent the extra money.

Sir Oliver Limo A++++
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this company. I changed a lot of things before the wedding and they never gave me a hard time. I felt the prices where reasonable and the staff was excellent. I had a 1940 Cadillac and a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. Both cars where clean and on time. I forget the name of the bridal parties driver and I feel really bad, since she was very helpful and nice. My driver was Matthew and he was great. It was raining a little at the church and he followed me around holding and umbrella over me any where I walked. He was great to talk with and really made our ride enjoyable. We had mentioned that we would like to request him to bring us to the airport for our HM. Well, 4:30am the day of our flight, Matthew shows up at our door to bring us to the airport. We didn't actually think he would remember. We also used them to bring us home from the HM.

Flowers Nancy at Open House Country A+++
Nancy is a great person, and really nice to talk with. My flowers were beautiful and everything I expected. I couldn't believe how beautiful my flowers came out at the Hamlet. She made this beautiful piece for the fire place mantel. I wish I had a picture of it. It was huge!!! I am so glad I found her. (Thanks Courtney!)

Photographer Christina Bohn A++++
My proofs are fantastic, all 800+ of them. Christina is such a great person and so easy to talk too. I feel she loves what she does, and you really feel it when she is talking pictures. She was easy to work with the day of the wedding. I actually didn't give her any must take photo list, since I new she would take beautiful pictures. All I told her was I needed both posed family pictures and then rest was up to her. After the reception started, I hardly new she was there. She walked around all night just taking pictures of everyone having a great time. I was so excited to see one of my wedding pictures blown up and sitting in her studio window in Port Jeff Village. I am so happy I saw Prncssrachel pictures, or I would of never found her.

Video Wild Rose, A++/B]
Wild Rose is a husband and wife team and a few other staff. The were great to work with before my wedding and have been great after the wedding. The day of my wedding they where on time and I hardly noticed them all day. They where not in any ones faces and that was very important to me. Christina Bohn even commented in how much she likes working with them.
I got my video, and it is great. I can't stop watching it.

Hamlet Wind Watch Golf and Country Club A+++
I looked at over 20 halls on LI. I found alot of halls to be outdated, or too overdone. Most of the halls I did like where out of my price range. Well, finally I found the Hamlet and I was so excited. Most people I talked to, had never even heard of the Hamlet. It was everything I wanted. One wedding at a time, nicely decorated, and in my price range. I worked with Denise the whole time leading up to the wedding and she was wonderful. Everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding and I have no complaints. I didn't eat much but I did try a few things and they were delicous. Everyone raved about the food, and guest kept telling me how beautiful the place was.
I recommend Five things if you go with the Hamlet.
1. Pay extra to have the restaurant for cocktail hour. My mom didn't want me to do this, but I talked her into it. Well, of course it rained a little on my wedding day and that extra room came in handy. It gave us so much extra room, and plenty of place for the guests to sit.
2. Switch a cold dish for a hot dish at cocktail hour. I asked if they could make Chicken Franchese, that was not even on their menu. They said there was no problem and it was really good. There can never be too much hot food.
3. Get the fried Calimari, I can't tell you how many people where eating this. My friends kept getting up and getting plates of it.
4. For desert, pick the ice cream (Chocolate Cherry Bon Bon) . Are guest went crazy over it. My friends and family are still talking about this after 3 months. It was such a hit!! I have to admit, it was really really good. Denise suggested this at our tasting, saying that people eyes light up when this desert comes out. She was 100% correct.
5. Get chair covers, it really made the room!!

DJ Music by Michael A++++++ Fantastic
Michael was the only DJ we went too and we booked him right away. I didn't want someone screaming in my guests faces to dance, and playing the music so loud, that guest couldn't talk to one another. He was exactly what we were looking for in a DJ. Matt and I picked some of the music we wanted played and a lot we didn't want. He played and didn't play everything we wrote down. Michael and his assistant Ryan where on time and kept people on the dance floor all night. The older folks usually hate DJs and always say they are too loud, or they play bad music. Well, my relatives commented on how good my DJ was, and how much they enjoyed the music.
Michael and Ryan where dancing behind the DJ booth and looked like they where having a great time.
They usually don't give out favors but we requested and paid extra for them. The guests loved them,as you will see from my pictures.
My cousin liked Michael so much, she booked him for her wedding this October.

The Church St. James Lutheran A++++
What a beautiful church inside and out. I am Catholic and my Husband is Lutheran. My parents never brought me to church as a kid so I am not so religious. This was my Dh families church and they had been going there for years. My parents weren't so thrilled with me getting married Lutheran but they got over it.
There is a new Pastor at the church and he so nice and caring. Are ceremony was so quaint and personalized. I would recommend this church to anyone.

The Hyatt Hotel Wedding Night A+++
I worked with Heather Bauer and she was very helpful and always got back to me right away when I called. I had 10 room blocked that most of my friends stayed in. My Dh and I stayed in the suite and it was really nice and very clean.

Travel Agent Dawn Dorr Honeymoon Specialist A+++ and beyond
My family has always been big in to traveling and I have been a lot of place in my 26yrs. I usually hate travel agents, since half the time I know more then they do. I usually book all my trips myself. Well, this was a big one so I figured I could use a travel agent help. I found Dawn as she is one of our many LIW vendors. She is fantastic!! I can't tell you how fast she gets back to you when you call or email her. We could not make up our minds on where to go, and she was always there to help and suggest new places. She booked everything for us for the HM, and we had absolutely not one problem. I still talk to her, and she is helping me plan a one year anniversary trip.
HM Hawaii A+++++ Unbelievable
I can not recommend Hawaii enough. I have been all over the Caribbean and Mexico, and I can't tell you how beautiful Hawaii is compared to any of those places. The weather is so perfect! and the islands are so beautiful.
We stayed at the Halekulani in Oahu for 3 days 2 nights.
It is a 5 star hotel and pretty expensive. What a great hotel. The service is fantastic! They have so many extras that other hotels don't have. The best was laying by the pool. They had cushioned lounge chairs. A pool attendant comes over to you and puts a fitted towel on your lounge chair and then gives you and extra towel for the pool. Then someone else comes over and gives you ice water. Just waiting for a cab in the lobby, they have staff standing there given you free bottles of water. Amazing!!!
We stayed at the Hyatts on both Maui and Kaui. Both hotels where beautiful!!! Are rooms were clean and the beds very really comfy. The grounds at the Hyatt in Maui where fantastic and we loved walking around at night.
The Hyatt is Kaui had the best pool I have ever been in, and the hotel lobby is unbelievable.
If you are going to Kaui, you MUST!!!! Eat at the beach house. Make reservations a few days before you leave on vacation. Make them for around 6-6:30pm so you will be their during sunset. The restaurant looks right out on the water and you can watch the surfers. The food is the best we had the whole vacation.
