How Far In Advance Did You Order Your Gown???

Hi, I am thinking on getting married May 08 but I found a gown I love. Is it too soon to get it? please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got engaged December 2005, by Feb 2006 I found my dress (after trying on 1,000) and ordered it. It came 4 months later. Its up to you, but I wouldn't wait too long. Sometimes they say it takes 4-5 months for dresses to come in after they've been ordered.

Ps. sorry I didn't realize it was 2008 wedding! I would order at least 1 year in advance

I ordered my 1 year in advance. Keep looking but if you decide that's the one I would just order it. When you know, you know!

i ordered mine about 14 months before......but if you are totally in love with the dress and its 'the one' go for it!!

I think since you are getting married in 08, then you should maybe wait a bit longer. I only say this becuase the designers will have new lines out and you may fall in love with another......or two....lol lol.

BUT, if you truly LOVE this gown and you feel that it's the ONE, then go for it. You can always sell it if you find another gown down the road.

I ordered mine just under a year in advance... I'd suggest that you do the same! Lots of girls on here end up buying a dress too soon and then wanting to change it... but if you know it's the one... then go for it! it's your wedding

I'm getting married in Nov 07...I bought my dress the very first time I went out dress shopping about a month ago...it takes about 7 mths for my dress to come in...I don't regret it, I still love it...although I'd like to go trying on dresses again..that was fun!!

If you're absolutely in love with it then go for it, just don't go dress shopping anymore because you don't want to start having any regrets.

I ordered mine in October 2005 and it came in in April or May of this year.

Me too. THough I didn't plan on ordering it that day I just did because I was getting a trunk show discount.

I ordered my dress about 14 months in advance. Supposedly it can take up to 12 months for the dress to come in.
