Are you sending out Save the Dates?
Are all of you sending out Save the Dates? I originally was going to and now I don't know if I want to go through the expense of it. What do you all think?

Re: Are you sending out Save the Dates?
We did. I just sent them out on Monday. Over 50% of our guests will be from out of town so we wanted to give people plenty of notice to make travel arangements.

Re: Are you sending out Save the Dates?
I'm in the process of making them now. We're just sending them to the ppl. invited from Ireland and England - 47 invitations. Everyone in NY knows when our wedding is already.Today I went to AC Moore's w/a 40% off coupon and bought a box of 50 blank 'reply' cards and I'm designing them w/our picture and a cute saying on it........totat cost for STD's = $6 plus postage.

Re: Are you sending out Save the Dates?
I think it is very important for girls on Long Island to send save the dates for summer weddings. People are so busy in the summers that we wanted to be sure that everyone we loved was able to attend. But it is totally your decision.

Re: Are you sending out Save the Dates?
I sent out STD's only because our date is on a Friday. I do want all my close friends and family to be there. However, I knew if I didn't send them out, a lot of them would not even look at the invitation until past the RSVP date and then they would more than likely have plans. My friends are weird like that
ps. I made sure on the STD, I indicated FRIDAY!!!

Re: Are you sending out Save the Dates?
I will be. I made them already and just got them in the mail. They only cost $40 plus postage. I'm having a pretty small wedding, so I just wanted to make sure everyone I'm inviting can come!

I'm not bothering. We've been engaged since October '04 if people don't know by now.

We are - we made them and are sending them out this week. I wanted people to have the hotel information in plenty of time. They came out great and only cost $30! :)

Re: Are you sending out Save the Dates?
We made ours and gave them out at the engagement party along with the favor. We are getting married on Memorial Day weekend so we thought it would be nice to give people a heads up.
