NWR...BUT THIS IS REALLY SAD AND SICK...
Although it's not wedding related, I am so angry over this that I need to vent. The news this morning made mention of an 18yr old girl who's 3 month old baby died. Apparently this girl lived in a shelter in Manhattan and had left her daughter with a friend in the shelter and went out partying. When she got home she placed a bucket next to her bed in case she happened to get sick in the middle of the night. She was asleep with her baby and had gotten sick during the night and woke up in the AFTERNOON and found her baby inside the bucket dead. She had drowned.
I mean what th f*** is going on in this world? I always thought shelters had a curfew. Don't know what time this girl got in..but if she came home drunk..how come no one noticed if she came in before the curfew?
I have to say this is the most sad, and disgusting story I have ever heard aside from the Nixmary story. I'll never understand why these things happen especially to innocent babies. It really breaks my heart. God bless that poor baby...

I heard this story as well, it's a horrific one. I can't believe that someone would first off, leave their 3 month old baby, while they went out and partied. It is responsible, but even worse to attempt at caring for your child while intoxicated. There is no excuse in this case.

Just know that poor little baby is in a much better place and with the kind of mother she seemed to have, maybe this was God's way of saving her after all. The story made me sick...the news reporter/anchor last night looked green after the 'on location' reporter was done telling the story...and it was the ABC woman who is always got a stick up her you-know-what...to see her phased really made it clear how disturbing it was.

you know when i read this story i thought 'where was God in this baby's life'
but i appreciate your view on it - that maybe God WAS saving her after all . . .
still a horrible, sad story - that poor baby is in my prayers.

Omg, I didn't hear about this!!
That's absolutely terrible, what a sick person!!It's true what they say, anybody can be a mother but it takes someone special to be a mom. Clearly this girl was not ready to be a mom.
Cheryl's right, this baby is in a much better place now and can rest in God's hands.

Child abuse and neglect is rampid in the United States.. it's just usally covered up a lot more than it has been recently. You wouldn't be able to sleep at night if you heard some of the stories I have heard from friends in the police officers and social workers. It's disgusting!

I don't understand what is wrong with people. Honestly, this is such a horrible story-eye for an eye-I believe the mother should get the death penalty.

That is terrible and odd!Im a little confused because I hadnt heard it yet...
The bucket was filled with what? Water? Why?
The child fell off the bed into the bucket? Isnt that kind of odd?
The whole story seems to out there.
I do agree, at least that little baby is in a better place now, though its too bad she wasnt adopted out.

My prayers are with the baby. I hope this sobers up the mother. This really angers me when so many of us are having problems TTC and people like that have babies they don't want.
