Ignore them.Have you talked to them, you cant always be nice and get your point. I didnt have that problem with the ffil because fil is so laid back and fmil passed a few years ago. But I had some problems with my mom. Just told her, it's not your day and your not putting up any money so I dont want to hear it.
she got the point; she chipped in on the RH so I have to listen to bits and pieces of what she says.
Since it's Fh's fam maybe he should talk to them if you dont feel comfortable

hahahhaha um YEA I hear ya! My FH mom and dad are 67 and 68 and he is 27...hmmmm see where I am coming from here. Everything is 'Oh you want that?' or 'Oh...that's different.' or my favorite 'Oh...good thing your parents are giving you some money.' I just try to ignore it and then tell my FH 'I WILL NEVER BE HER!'

well at least ur fmil won't talk behind your back to fh. my parents actually tell me to discuss with fh first when they give a suggestion b/c they *respect* him as a person.
fmil even wanted to get into when we should actually register and implied if i don't get married when they suggest then i don't love fh enough, that i'm headstrong and so controlling, making him follow my wishes!!!!

fh refuses to voice an opinion on this. most of the time he sides with his mom b/c she does such a good job of 'reasoning' with him.she's got him wrapped around her like bee with honey
.... even tho i am saving for the wedding by selling furniture now and look anorexic from saving on food to help pay for the wedding, dropping one of my joint degrees b/c of all the stress they give me so can concentrate better, putting up with their 'o we missed you at our family vacation that we planned while you were in school.'
UGH!!! HE'LL COME AROUND ONE DAY!!! MY FH IS WRAPPED AROUND HIS PARENTS ALSO, ANS IT DRIVES ME CRAZZZZZYYYY!!!
PART OF MY PROB IS HIM THOUGH....HE ALWAYS HAS TO CALL HIS PARENTS FOR APPROVAL ON EVERYTHING AND TELL THEM EVERYTHING TOO.....HIS BILLS, OR WHAT HES DOING OR HOW IT TURNED OUT AND NOT ONLY DOES HE TELL HIS DAD, BUT THEN HIS MOM HAS TO GET ON AND I HAVE TO HEAR HIM TELL WHATEVER IT IS ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!
I DONT KNOW WHAT IM GONNA DO ONCE WE'RE MARRIED, BUT THEY ARE NOT GONNA KNOW ALL OF MY BUSINESS.....THATS FOR SURE!!!
