Re: Honeymoon is in San Fran. Any suggestions for MUST SEE or DO Places????

We just spent some time there!!!!!!

Must see the Golden Gate Bridge....eat dinner at the Stinking Rose--all garlic! :)

Must see Lombard Street, the most crooked street in the country. Fisherman's Wharf is very touristy but fun. There are sea lions there that hang out ALL day!!

Re: Honeymoon is in San Fran. Any suggestions for MUST SEE or DO Places????

We just got back on Thursday from our honeymoon in California. We actually stayed in Sausalito across the bay so that would be a good day trip for you (there are a few ferries that run frequently over there). We did Alcatraz which I thought was OK (DH liked it more then me ) If you are into hiking, DEFINATELY hike Mt. Tamalapias!!! The views from the top were amazing. You could see the whole bay area. The hike really wasn't that strenuous. I think the park is only a short drive from San Francisco. We only spent 3 days in that area before going up to Sonoma & Napa. If you are going up there too, I'll give you some suggestions for wineries etc.. You will have a wonderful time and the weather out there is PERFECT!!!!!

Re: Honeymoon is in San Fran. Any suggestions for MUST SEE or DO Places????

The weather for us was great. In San Francisco it was 75+ for 2 days and one day it was on the chilly side (60-65). While we were in Napa/Sonoma it was 85-90 everyday and sunny. It did not rain once our entire trip!! And apparently it is not unusual for them to have weather like this so you should be in luck FM me if you would like any other information

Put Alcatraz at the top of your list - it was the most fun thing we did in SF. Then we walked over to the Ghirardelli Ice Cream Shop...mmmm....

Re: Honeymoon is in San Fran. Any suggestions for MUST SEE or DO Places????

Ok... I CANNNNNNNOTTTTTTTTTTTTT stress this enough.

You HAVEEEEEEEEEEE to do this. FH and I did it when we went to San Fran, and it was the most FUN thing we did.

We rented this thing called a go-car. I'm attaching the link. You can drive ALLLLLL over San Fran in it. And its got a GPS thing in it that gives you a guided tour via the radio. We went down the crooked street in it and zipped all over town. We learned a TON about San Fran, and had a blast. Plus it makes for hysterical pictures.

go car!

Re: Honeymoon is in San Fran. Any suggestions for MUST SEE or DO Places????

After you go to Fisherman's wharf, you can go to the Buena Vista for the original irish coffee (pretty good!)

Bring comfy shoes, lots of hills out there!

When you go to Napa/Sonoma, check out Silver Oak and Stags Leap if you can. Beringer does a really nice tour too. I liked going to the smaller places better because they treated you got more personalized service.
