Sweat the small stuff!

I am a detail person- for my eparty-- which was Sunday night-- we made menus that I posted here the other day & lots of people told me not to do them- the owner of the restaurant-- the manager-- even some brides-- they said it was the kind of detail that no one would remember....well....

I got SOOOOO many compliments on the menu's-- so many people noticed them & LOVED THEM!!

The next time someone tells you no one will notice... they will!! If you want to do the little stuff.... do it!!

I will be posting more details about the party soon.... but for anyone that has read my previous posts---- I did my hair up & wore pearls & at least 20 people said I looked like Audrey Hepburn!!! SUCCESS!!

i tottally agree. congratulations on listening to yourself only! i feel that even though some people won't notice, most people will.....

i can't wait to start doing all that DIY stuff for my wedding.

Congrats! I love that you did what you wanted. It is your wedding after all.
Your hair looked very pretty in the updo.

i agree.....i did the invites i wanted and so far ppl who have seen them love them......while i had a few ppl make some neg. comments on them! Do what makes you and your fi happy....who cares what others think!

I think its great that you brought your visions to life. Some say its the little details that will drive you nuts, but if you do it right and give yourself enough time to plan and execute, its those lil things that most stand out!

WOW i love what you did, details make a huge difference, and its great you got all the compliments that is what honestly makes it all worth while, When you can, can you post more pictures, i would love to see more e-party pics!!!

I will post pics wen I get them back from the photographer-- another thing I was told not to 'waste' money on--- it's only an eparty- everytone said-- that & the live music- people told me that no one would notice if I didn't have live music--- they were SO SO SO wrong-- the band COMPLETELY made the party what it was-- people were singing along & it was a cocktail party-- but people were even dancing!!!& 2 guests booked my music guys for parties they were having !!!! The things people told me not to stress about, invites, menus, favors, music, sign board, hair.... turned out to be the things that everyone RAVED about!!

I did the menu's in Word with 2 of my E pics from Velvet studio!

Oh wow Amy!!! I'm so glad your party went well! I missed the pic of the menus bc I was sick for a couple of days. I told you that doing them would be a good idea! I'm soooo glad that everyone loved them and now you have practice for the wedding! I say...it's all in the details and if no one notices then you will! Can't wait to see pics!! I'm really very happy for you!

The pics of the menu's are in my album-- we had our Eparty at BLUE in blue point-- the party was great but I was not happy with the business end- in the end we overpaid by almost $1000 the night of & they wouldn't admit a mistake & give us so much as a credit! GGRR!! I'll post more details soon!!
