Re: early weddings
My cousin had an early wedding. She started her pics around 9am. It was beautiful to have early morning pics. All of the flowers had the morning dew on them and they just sparkled in the pics. I don't think she even used her own flowers in the shots, just the ones in the yard.Because there was not much time between the ceremony and the hall, she and her hubby took pics on the church grounds in front of a gorgeous tree (they all look alike whether its in a park or a parking lot) They used the brick from the side of the church as another backdrop. It is a timesaver.
Good Luck

ACK. What did I get into having an 11am ceremony???? I'm not a morning person!O'ya, I remember why I did that.... to save almost 10k on the reception!
Thanks for 'waking me up' to the reality that I'll have early AM pix....

Re: early weddings
My ceremony is at 3:30 and my photographer wanted to be to my house around 11:00 am to take pics of me getting ready. I laughed and said you'll be taking pics of me getting out of bed. I could never do the morning wedding. I would have a cup of coffee in my hands instead of flowers.

My ceremony is at 11:30 and the photographer told me he wanted to start taking pictures of me at 7am! AND he wants my makeup and hair to be done by then. I had a slight heart attack. That seems insane to me - right?! Granted - I'm getting married at the hall and the cocktail hour immediately follows...but still!

my ceremony is at 12 but guests will be arriving at 11:30 so I want to make sure I am there (ceremony is at RH) before the guests arrive. So I will be starting pictures at 9am.

My ceremony is at 10:30am as well. I have to have my makeup and hair done by like 8:00 or 8:30am. I am TOTALLY not a morning person AT ALL!!! I probably have to be up at like 3am or something to get everyone ready and whatnot. Guess I'm not sleeping that night!

Re: early weddings
Spoke to my photographer... heres what he said (for my 11:30 am ceremony):'Here’s how I see the photos going down; initially you’ll need to be ready by 9 am at the hotel. I think it’s unrealistic to expect you and the girls to be done with hair, makeup, putting on the dresses, etc, before that. So, if we are able to start at 9 am sharp I’ll need about a half hour or so at the hotel. Add travel time to the Crescent Beach Club and we’re already up to 10 or 10:30. Once you’re settled in there I’ll need at least another 45 minutes to an hour to complete the rest of the formal photos. That takes us up to the scheduled start time for the ceremony.'
HTH!
