Veil question... What do you girls think???

If you don't mind, could you girls look at the picture of my dress which is in my profile, and tell me what you think would look better? A veil with a pencil edge, or no edge at all??? Also, 1 or 2 tiers??? I need help deciding since I can't decide with my dress on. (I live out of state) Thanks so much!

It looks like the accents on the dress (which is beautiful!) are platinum- I would go with no edge, as not to take away from that. As for the tiers, I don't think it matters, just go with whatever looks best with your face/hair/headpiece. Good luck!

Re: Veil question... What do you girls think???

I would definatly do an edge on the viel even if it was just a thin pencil edge if not for any other reason than a viel with no edge has the potential to run (like stockings) when your getting your hair done or throough the day...a pencil edge is really thin..if your not going to wear the veil all night than i would get the one teir if you like it better but if your going to wear it at the reception then i would get the two.. then it will stay a little more fuller that flat against your hair...

Re: Veil question... What do you girls think???

First, your dress is beautiful !I defintely would not do an edge. With an edge you have to worry about the line that it may create in pictures. You already have one line going across your chest... to have another one going down in the opposoite direction would be way too much in my opinion. You would have too many lines going off in too many directions. Besides that line on your chest looks so pretty... why have something compete against it? As for how many tiers you want that depends on you, not so much your dress. Either would look beautiful. When you try on your veil you will see how 'full' you like it and what looks best against your face. Some brides (like me) want more 'poof' while others want less. It totally depends on what woudl look pretty with you and your features (and of course your headpiece!). Good luck!

I think it depends on how long you want the veil. If short - no edge since it will compete with the silver, if its going to end after your elbows then I would go wtih an edge.

Re: Veil question... What do you girls think???

I would go with no edge. When I was choosing my veil, I was told that the edging 'shortens' your height. I guess it depends on the length of your veil. Mine is elbow length and has no edging...I think it looks much softer and more flowing that way. (is flowing a word? hee hee)
