Brides who did/are doing CANDY BUFFET
Where did you get your candy from and...if you dont mind telling (or FM me) how much did it all cost?I've seen some brides who had the old fashion lollipops and stuff....im not sure where to get that. And although I LOVE the idea of a candy buffet...I think FH would KILL me if I spend any more money
so I dont want to do it if its going to cost me too much. Thanks!!!

Had a friend who bought all the jars from the Dollar store, walmart, target [ great prices and great looking jars]and she got her candy from COSCO...
she set it up beautifully! ... in addition search for the bride Luvabul, she has nice candy buffet pics to get you started in her album, give you an idea of what direction yo wana go in...

Re: Brides who did/are doing CANDY BUFFET
it really all depends.... if you start buying now (ie, after halloween and christmas... later: after easter) you can save a lot of money... you'll also be able to get candy is more specific colors.i bought a lot of candy at warehouse stores: fil has a card to all of those places, everytime he went, i went along and bought a bag or two.
the old fashioned lollipops: sarahradio5 did the legwork, i must admit that i rode her coat-tails on that one
(that's what liw is all about... helping each other... and boy, was she help) we both got them from hammond candies. they're based in denver, colorado. sarah would probably have more info for you right now... i'm at work and don't have it with me..... these were NOT CHEAP!!!there is also the cost of the containers to display them: both sarah and i would buy them at acmoore or michaels with the 40%off coupons.
if you need more info fm me and i'll be happy to share ALL the details with you
btw: it was worth EVERY PENNY! everyone loved it!!

as long as you don't open the bag/container it comes in and you keep it in a cool dry place, you should be good.

honestly... from the bottom of my heart: your guests won't miss it if it's not there. but if it is, it will BE SO WORTH IT. it was for me.
only you, your fh, and your pocketbook can make that decision

Re: Brides who did/are doing CANDY BUFFET
I decided I wanted to do all packaged candy. I have my own issues about open candy so I did all my shopping in the last two weeks after halloween. I was able to get bags of candy for anywhere from $1 to $1.50. In total I spent about $100 for the candy and a little less than $100 for the glasses and bags to put it in.I do know that if you buy online you can save money, I just didn't have the time to do it since my wedding is in a little over two weeks.
