honeymoon dilemma
ok hear me out on this...im going insane!!My FH and I are going to Hawaiii on our honeymoon. We are staying in Kauai for 5 nights, Maui for 5 nights and then at our timeshare in Oahu for 5 nights. In Kauai we are more than likely staying at the Hyatt...that was easy!! Now, heres my problem...
I REALLY want to stay at the 4 seasons in Maui...obviously whats keeping me from staying there is $$$..I love sleeping with the balcony open and listening to the water at night...so i know i want an ocean view room, whether it be partial or not...now should I just stay at the hyatt or another nice, but cheaper hotel...or should I splurge and spend the extra $1000 on the 4 seasons....or compromise the room and get a lower room...something like a partial on a lower floor to make the price more comparable...and hope they upgrade me (ive heard they do that a lot of the time with honeymoons)..my FH says, its our honeymoon, when else are we going to spend it...stay where u want!!!
What do u guys think???

Re: honeymoon dilemma
I say SPLURGE. FH and I were just looking into our honeymooon yesterday. We want to go to Anguilla and stay at Cap Juluca. And we are going to get the 1 bedroom suite with a private pool. Then the next week we plan on going to St Martin but stay at something not so expensive. We figured it's our honeymoon and first vacation together.

Re: honeymoon dilemma
I say SPLURGE if you can!! I've been to Hawaii and had a mountain view room and really loved it and it was a little less than ocean view. You can get an ocean view anywhere in the carib. FL, mexico but where else can you get a tropical mountain view
Being that you are on your HM it wouldn't suprise me if you got upgraded anyway.Enjoy

Re: honeymoon dilemma
SPLURGE! You only have your HM once in your life.I liked the Four Seasons but I actually ended up falling in love with other hotels on Maui-- one being the Fairmont Kea Lani. The Four Seasons (So I have heard) can be a little 'stuffy' and 'stuck up' so I went with another hotel that was still five stars but maybe a little more us...
We'll see!

Re: honeymoon dilemma
I had the same dilemma. I really wanted to stay at the Fairmont on Maui but it was a lot more money than say a Sheraton or Hyatt. In the end we decided to go for it. We figured it was a once in a lifetime trip. So I say go for it! You'll be happy you did!

I agree with your hubby, it's your HM DO IT!!! When can you ever justify spending that much. In the end, when the bill is paid for you will be glad that you did.
