POLL: Which Bridal Shop? **UPDATE**

You guys were very helpful in telling me that I am nuts to think I could reasonably visit 6 dress shops in one day! So, I figured I'd do a poll to narrow it down!

Thursday will be my first wedding dress shopping trip. My MOH will be with me then and my Mom is flying up from Georgia to shop more next week [Dec 12-16.] My Mom is buying my dress for me, so I pretty much have to decide and purchase it when she is in town.

So... I need salons that have a good selection in the $1200 or under range. Bigger sample sizes are a plus since I am about a street size 14-16 in a dress. I know the type of dresses that I like in magazines [Maggie, Jasmine, Marisa, Mon Cheri] but I have no idea what will look good on my crazy curves!

I want to make my appointments ASAP, so please vote for your pick that will help me in my dress search! Thanks in advance for your help!

ETA: Bridal Reflections in Massapeua and David's Bridal in Westbry!

**UPDATE**
For any girls out there who have just started shopping: If you want a fantastic experience with a bridal consultant who is sweet, knowledgeable and has a sense of humor, at a bridal shop that stocks a great selection of gowns at different price points... look no further than Lillette's! The poll I took the other day didn't lie!

Carol was my consultant at Lillette's and she was fabulous!! She listened to what I was looking for, lugged a boatload of dresses for me to try on, helped me pick dresses that worked with my body issues, and overall made my experience great!! I have a bit more hunting around to do next week when my Mom is in town- but I think that the Jasmine Couture gown that I tried on at another shop the day before, and then again today- is it!!

If you need to get your dress, run, don't walk to Lillette's in Baldwin. Ask for Carol- she rocks!!

Re: POLL: Which Bridal Shop?

I haven't been to many of those stores, so i didn't vote, but I did stop in at Bridal elegance and IMO it is a great place to call after you find a dress elsewhere and want a good price... not a great selection for just starting out

I've heard the same thing.

I haven't been to many of those stores, though.

Re: POLL: Which Bridal Shop?

I love paradise bridal in Patchogue....paulina and danielle are both excellent help, they have a great selection and a great rep! Very good price range also! My next choice would be bridal refections although they are a little bit more pricey. I would check out, justin alexander, jasmine, allure, demetrios and mori lee dresses if you are looking for 1200 or under. Plus remember that almost alllll stores will give you 10 percent off the sticker price! Just ask!! Good luck and have fun! If anything...since your mom is paying...maybe you could go with out her first then taker her to see your top 3 dresses!! This way it gives you some more time.

Yes, I agree. Definitely Bridal Elegance is where you go after you find your dress. Out of the rest of the bridal shops, I'd say Lillettes is one of the best!

Re: POLL: Which Bridal Shop? **UPDATE**

I went to Davids bridal first (big let down ) we also went to Bridal Reflections and they had beautiful dresses but way out of our price range.
I got my dress at the Bridal Suite of Huntington, but I've heard nothing but good things about Lillettes!
