NWR-Does anyone like their job and make decent money?

I actually like what I do but I feel like I will never survive on the salary here on LI
Also, it's hard to find jobs in my field..there are SOME that pay ok..but it is hard to find anything...and the good ones seem to go to those with many many years of experience.

I like my job although sometimes you just need a break. You get very burnt. I am a respiratory therapist. Do I make great money...no, do I make decent money, yes.

I work in washington, dc and live around here

I am overpaid and underworked at a job I absolutely love.

It definitely IS possible and you should never settle for anything that doesnt make you happy!

teaching! I feel like they pay me well (although not for all of the hours I work) but the starting salary is awesome considering the amount of months, and I adore teaching

Im an Economist for the Dept of Labor. Working for the government definitely has its benefits. I know when I move back to LI I wont be as lucky.

i love my job - i make my own schedule. no one bothers me - i just do my job and mind my own business. . . i have great benefits ( even a day care!) i get tons of vacation and sick days.

is it GREAT pay? nope but it is WAY more than i thought i would be making at my first 'real' job. . .

no and no.. i love my career though just not my job and i make no money with no benefits.

Do I love my job? Yes... and sometimes no. I love what I do and where I work. I like the people I work for. HOWEVER, I work LOOOONG hours and it's a stressful job.

Do I make good money? Yup.

Is the money worth the stress and long hours? Right now, yes... Long term, I don't know... I think I'll eventually move on, but who knows?

I do like what I do and love my industry (travel & tourism). I do get paid well but at my level (Marketing Director) I should be at a higher pay scale. If I were in a different less 'sexy' industry I could be making 6 figures. I understand and know how hard it is to make it on Long Island. FH makes a very good living too but we still won't be able to buy a home on LI for about another year. Paying for this wedding has certainly put buying a home on hold. We've actually considered moving to Colombus, OH where his company is based. We could buy a mini-mansion tomorrow in Columbus not so much in good ol' LI

I don't particularly like my job... overall i'd much rather be doing something else.. what that is I don't know. As far as pay... I definitely should be making more i think at this time in my life... Its not horrible.. but i wouldn't say its good either.

After the wedding.. my plan is to find something else!!

i love my job, but i don't make much. then again it's an assistant job. when i get the 'real' version of it, my salary should go up significantly. =0P still prob won't be enough on li! =0P

i love my job but don't make even enough to really survive in nyc!!! but to me, it's almost worth it, because as the years go on i'll start to make more and i really love what i do----i'm an attorney for the nyc administration for children's services. the benefits are great, it's a great job if you have a family, and the people i work with are the best. so as long as i can stay afloat, i'm not going anywhere!!!
