If I remember correctly, credit card companies & subscriptions & some utilities took my name change right over the phone, they didn't ask for any type of documentation at all.

You need to get your marriage license in order to change your name at SS, DMV, your car insurance company and your job -- for medical and payroll. And if you have EZ Pass, you need to give them a copy as well, I have no clue why, but that's the policy?!!!! Like Elizabeth said, most credit cards and utilities you can change over the phone.

The marriage license comes really quick -- it was waiting for us when we came back from our honeymoon -- so you should be getting it this week or next!
