need some help for an Autumn in New York theme.

i love all the fall center pieces and other fall items ive seen but i dont just want a fall theme i really want that autumn in new york feel to it any ideas?

i love the different color roses but im allergic such an ordeal...lol i think fro center pieces im goign to so something with like candles and flower pedals...im soooo stuck on things for favors that will be new yorky but not touristy you know....plus my mom wants it to be like an all white wedding which is just not happening so she shoots down almost all my ideas..lol

I don't know where i'm going with this. i just got an early morning spark, but maybe you can go the apple route. Apples come in fall and New York is the big apple. This thred has some good ideas too!

hmm autumn in new york - i keep thinking like central park and leaves changing - maybe you could do something with pumpkins around fall vines of leaves

how bout candy apples/caramel apples as a favor

or maybe you can choose a favor of your favorite chairty in NYC

I like this idea, don't know if it's your taste but....

you can get a vendor to give out hot pretzles and/or dirty dogs as your guests are leaving...like parked right in front like you're at a theater.

maybe a mini new york licence plate with your names on it as a favor (oooo maybe a magnet of that!!!)

i thought the same thing with the pretzels i told zack and he was like not everyone loves cold salty pretzles off a street corner as much as you so glad to see there are others out there. where do u think i could find that? how funny would it be to have the guy in a tuxedo handing out like roasted peanuts and pretzels

that would be awesome to hand out the pretzels and stuff! when I think Autumn in NY I think Central Park. Isn't there a movie with that title too??? you can also instead of table numbers do names of famous bldgs and streets like Park Ave and Madison Ave or Empire State Bldg and Rockefeller .... just some thoughts HTH

Hmm what about taking photos or finding ones of different places in NYC during the autumn? Central Park would of course be a good one - I guess you would have to make sure to get the colors in there when the leaves change color. Or just do fall themes and take the New york photos and frame them-that could be used with the idea of table names like Central park, SoHo, etc.

I know from working in the city, on every corner in 5th ave practically and the 50's, they also sell pictures already framed of places in NY that are in black and white and might be cool.

I found a site that has great NY photos taken during the autumn. You can order large prints but if you just need smaller pics for whatever project, just right click and save them to your comp and then edit ina photo program like photoshop. Hope they help.
