Invite a guest or not??? HELP!

My fiance and I have been trying to figure out if you have to invite (+ guest) and how you go about that? I was under the impression that you should invite a guest if the person is engaged, serious relationship, etc.... is this true? Or should you pretty much give everyone over 18...+ guest?? Any help would be great!

Re: Invite a guest or not??? HELP!

If you have the space and can afford to offer the extra guest a spot go ahead and invite the guest too

Re: Invite a guest or not??? HELP!

I agree with Shamma. If you can offer that option to your guests then I would. I would hate to go to a wedding alone, especially if I didn't know anyone there.

I agree - I think you should definitely give them the option. I know I would hate to go to a wedding by myself, unless I knew a ton of people there.

Re: Invite a guest or not??? HELP!

Kitten I am inviting with a guest for anyone single (except grandma who doesn't want another man in her life)

When I was single I would have felt awful if I was invited alone - give me the option - sometimes I went alone because all friends were going, sometimes with a date - it being my choice made me feel better.
Good luck

Re: Invite a guest or not??? HELP!

This is a problem for us to. We cannot afford to invite everyone with a guest, so as far as our friends and cousins go - if they have a significant other, or live with a person - than they will be invited with a guest.

If they do not, then they will be invited solo. We are footing the entire bill oursleves, so our choices are limited.

For example, Five of my old high school girlfriends are single, so they will be invited without guests because they will just hang together. I know this isn't the best plan, but it's either that or really cutting back the guest list.
