Favor poll please vote...I'm helping out my girl LINDSAY AND BRIAN

My best friends wedding is at Jericho Terrace, everything is white (expect for the pale pink BM dresses) now she was contemplating what to do for favors. Please respond the my poll to help her out a little. If you have any ideas list them here...TIA

I voted other for the reasons I posted on the other thread. I'd give out the bottle + shot glass, but I'd only do the monogram on the bottle.

IMHO, people don't want to collect glasses with other people's wedding dates on it. I think people would get more use out of a plain one than one with someone's names on it.

I have to say that I, personally, wouldn't keep anything with someone else's names / wedding date on it very long. However, a plain shot glass or one with a generic design, I probably would keep and use.

i voted for the vodka bottle and shot glass but i dont think you need the monogram on both either...just pick one to put it on, it will be less expensive that way...
i also liked the candy idea....b/c who dosnt like candy???

i voted for 'other.' at 30 & 33 FH and I really don't drink shots or vodka at home anymore. i admit it, we're old farts that way...i'll have cocktails out, but nothing other than wine/beer at home. your other older guests might not appreciate it....jmho. at 21 i would have loved it though!

I'm of the opinion that if I'm using a shot glass after receiving it as a wedding favor it's most likely at a time when I'm not overly worried about what it says on it. As a result I think that I'd be more excited walk away with something like that w/ the monogram rather than plain or generic....and the Vodka would definately be a bonus

I have to agree that even at 25 and 26, we don't do shots either -- actually, we hardly drink liquor at all. I might keep a nice shot glass around for measuring drinks, though!

Just turning 30 myself, I tend to agree with this. Dont get me wrong, it will be a big hit with the 20's crowd. But I'm not sure if the older crowd can really take advantage of the liquor or even the shot glass. Contradicting myself though, I'm from the old school 05 brides state of mind of 'your day, your way'

I too agree with these statements. FH and I are 32 and we are really not into this stuff anymore. I am sure the younger crowd would like it but I don't think the older crowd would.

OK you are not an OLD FART. You are 30 and probably done with that phase of your life.

I on the other hand am 30 and would appreciate a bottle of liquor...I like to party and have guests over and its always nice to have something on hand for the variety of drinkers that come over.

I dont like the shot glass. i have always bought them going away on Spring Break and always wind up getting rid of them after they have collected dust. Dont get me wrong I love shots...just dont know where to store the glass.

Personally I would LOVE some chocolates in a pink wrapper. I can just get the vodka from the bar if I want it. Its very expensive and not everyone likes it. Now who doesnt like chocolate?

If you want something they can take home...my favorites are always the photo frames.

I voted other (though, vodka is my baby) only because, as other girls have said, older people might not be thrilled with it..Also shot glasses, I would use...but again, older people or non drinkers might not be thrilled with it...or like to collect things with people's wedding dates on it...though I do! and no offense to others who have done this!

If it totally suits their personality then go for it, a lot of people keep liquor at home, even if it is for only parties or get togethers....

I am doing wine stoppers...probably another thing people won't use! Maybe look into that or a cork screw?

And whoever posted about the wine cork and screw, I got both of these favors from different parties and I always use them.
