Hotel wants to charge us $2.50 per OOT box/bag they hand to the guest........

Is that normal?? I mean, we're spending SOOOOOOO much money at this location, PLUS ALL of our guests are staying in the same hotel.........which is theirs, and they STILL want to charge us this.........

Has anyone else experienced this?

I think that is totally rediculous!! $2.50 for the people behind the dest to hand something to someone!!! That would piss me off!!!!!!

Thats definitly something new and something i have never heard of. The hotel should be doing this for you out of courtesy for using their hotel for your wedding guests. They seem to just be trying to cash in wherever they see the oppurtunity. When i called my hotel to tell them i planned on bringing over OOT boxes the week of the wedding they said not a problem. Thats just ridiculous

I agree!!! My FI and I are sooooo annoyed about this! It's the Hyatt too!!! We're going to see if there is any way they can take that fee off.......... It's just ridiculous!

But if they don't then we'll have to pay it.......that's what makes us SOOOOOO angry

oh wow that's alot! So we are talking boo koo bucks here... That is such bulls**t!! I am trying to think of what advice to give you but I am stuck..... If you make enough noise maybe they will cooperate..

My hotel wanted 5$....i told the girl i booked w/ that id no way pay that. I said id rather have someone or myself go door to door b4 I pay a dime!! She said that charge is for them to bring to their rooms once they check in. So I asked cant you give it to them at the time they check in?! She said yes and that be no charge...so guess what i did?!?!?! LOL
Call and see if thats an option!

That is the fee for handing it to them when they check in.......it was $5 for putting it in their rooms........

Are they insane?!?!? Give me their number and I'll tell them just how dumb and money hungry they are! There is no fee for handing over the room key and there should be no fee for doing this! Idiots!!!

Mine charges $1 per room. My BM works for a very upscale hotel in NYC and I know they charge, too. Anyway to make a buck....

i've looked into hotels and a few of them had a charge, but it was only $1! arent they already getting paid? what big deal is it to give some one a bag with their room key?? $2.50 is crazy.

I am using them as well and think that this is just ridiculous...let me know if I can help! Maybe we can write letters or something!

That is just insane and you are booking so many rooms. I am putting a call into my hotel now to find out if there is a charge.
