Oh My Gosh, I determine the rest of my life today!!! *UPDATED*

Well girls, I'm off to take my GRE exam. I'm so totally freaking out, I hope I do well. I know I'm probably putting more pressure on myself then I should but I feel like I only get one shot with this exam and if I don't do good then I don't get into grad school. Ahhh!! I need to take deep breaths!
Wish me luck ladies, I'll update you when I get back with some good news (hopefully)!

Thank you everyone for the good luck wishes. Unfortunately I only got half of them. I made the minimum on one section but not for the other so now I'm afraid I won't get into the program I want at Hofstra. I sent my scores and I am still going to apply anyway and hopefully they will see the whole package and not just a poor performance on half of a test. Thank you again so much ladies for your support!!! I'm off to get a drink now and watch a movie....what a stressful day!

Ha ha...I remember that day! the GRE's SUCK! Good luck and just remember many schools claim they place a lot of weight on the GRE's but they really don't....just from experience.

Thank God I lucked out and didn't have to take the GRE's to apply to grad school....I would have killed myself lol

Thank God it is over right Nicole!!! Dont you worry either- like someone else said sometimes they dont base it off just the GRE scores...and also I am sure you will have an interview.....so that will definitely help you and getting into Grad school.

And Nicole - I just applied to Hofstra for Early Childhood/Special Education Program for my Masters!! Hopefully we both get in and then we will see alot of each other!!!

I know Catie, I'm so glad it's over!! I was bummed yesterday but I think I'm over it now. I'll just sell the whole package and if they don't like it then I'll try again with hopefully a better score!! But they better like it because then we will get to go there together!!

When i was applying for the Speech Pathology M.S. program they all claimed that most of the weight is on the GRE...meanwhile they didn't even MENTION the GRE scores during the interview. Also...some programs only look at the section pertaining to your program whether it be language or math...I heard alot of schools aren't even looking at the GRE's for the application process because it hasn't proven to be a predictor for academic success. It's just another way to get your money!! ha ha

I know, it really is another way to get your money. I hate standardized testing, it makes me so mad!!
