Re: Who has or is getting a videographer?

To me, this was one of the most important things we booked. This is one of the only things we have left after the day is over. We've had Sweet 16 parties and got videos. When we watched them, their was so much that we didn't notice that night. I feel it is definitely a great investment.

Re: Who has or is getting a videographer?

YES!!! Ive heard soo many brides (some from the 06 board) who didnt do it and now regret it...def. go for it. I am lucky, my videographer is going to be a friend of ours..who does this for a living.

Re: Who has or is getting a videographer?

I haven't begun looking yet but i think its a great investment.
Yeah people say you look at it once and file it away but I think it's great to have:
-first for yourself(see what you missed- guests having fun)
-second for your future generations to watch.
-third for your friends and family who want to watch it and remember the night with you.

Honestly, if you have the money for it, why not?

I am thinking of checking out
Mittermax Video and Timeless Treasures.
They both have great reviews.

Re: Who has or is getting a videographer?

I have to say that after the wedding is said and done I would guess that this is something most brides look forward to (watching the video). After my brothers and sisters weddings waiting for the video and watching it was so fun.

If you are looking for one who is reasonably priced... we booked with Erik Peterson Videography... $1000 for a full days coverage edited DVD. And then an addtl $275 I believe for each extra add on ---- Like getting ready, or highlight video.

Re: Who has or is getting a videographer?

Thanks girls! I'm thinking we're going to book one.....I just LOVE the idea of coming home from our honeymoon and getting the video of our wedding and reliving it together in the comfort of our home........

At first, I just thought it was a vendor we didn't really need, but now when I think more about it, I want to see everything and just have those memories.......

Re: Who has or is getting a videographer?

I booked one because I know we are going to miss a lot of what will go on the day of and I think it will be great to get to see all that we missed, rehash what we experienced and get to see all our loved ones having a great time.

Re: Who has or is getting a videographer?

we are getting one... it is so important to me to have that video.. i love pictures and videos anyway;. and i also love how they edit the video/put it to music.. etc.
most important i want to be able to relive the day and also see all the things that i missedl.
I knew which videographer i was using before i set the date/location. so i made sure they were available

Re: Who has or is getting a videographer?

I think 89% of brides would say it was worth it or regret not getting it! They say the day goes by so fast that it is nice to be able to go back and watch. I told FH (to convince him) that I want to hear the waver (sp?) in his voice when he says his vows, the BM and MOH speeches, grandma and nanny dancing (maybe someday when they are not able o dance or God forbid not here anymore) Think about watching it when you an FH ar grey and old. It's the one thing I am happy we did not pass on. I could forgo all other splurges but not this one. For the first three months, I said we don't need it, it's too much money. But then I clicked a link to one in a review and my mind was changed. Good Luck with either decision, but I wanted you to know why I made mine.

Re: Who has or is getting a videographer?

If there's any question in your mind-- DO IT!!!

Or else you will ALWAYS regret it.

To me, it was very important- I want as many memories of that day as possible.

I'm booked with my photog Gary (he is also doing my video) and he does JUST video packages. I really liked how his videos looked They weren't the 'typical' wedding video.

Other than that, check out the vendor boards for just video people

Re: Who has or is getting a videographer?

Yes, we are getting one. FH didn't want one in the beginning. I told him that we have to have to recapture the events of the day and to see what we missed during the day. Also, FH's parents are older and he will want to remember them and others once they pass on.
