Hi everyone,Not sure if any of you is having this dilemma, but I'm doing an adult only reception which is creating conflicts with some guests whom I'd like to have at my wedding. Guess what the problem is????? Kids!!! So I'm trying to accomodate them by hiring a babysitter at my wedding and using the bridal room(most likely)
Does any of you know of good reputable babysitters? It will probably be 6-8 kids.
Am I the only one having this problem???????

Are these all OOT guests you are looking to accomodate?If they are local I don't think you should have to hire someone for them.

Yes they're OOT guest and close relatives of my FH.

I was having the same problem. I was considering using a babysitter and having them in the bridal suite, but I figured that really wouldn't work, and the kids are going to want to be with their parents, especially because they will be hearing the music and noise from the wedding. We've decided to just have my flower girl and ring bearer as the only kids, since we want an adult reception also. My flowergirls parents are cool with it and are actually going to have her picked up around 9, by a babysitter. I do have other family members that are a little upset. Oh well... You can't please everyone.

I personally think having a babysitter at the reception is a bad idea because like someone else posted, I think the kids would want their parents esp. knowing they are so close. I wouldn't do it. JMO

You know, I naturally thought that people wouldn't bring kids to their wedding whether they are OOT or not. Anyways, apparently everyone was suprised that I was going to have an adult only reception. Isn't that crazy!!!!! I think we're doing them a favor as my FH said, to actually have them enjoy themselves for a night.So now FH wants me to write to his side of family as he doesn't want to look like a bad guy.

I had the exact same problem with my OOT family. I had posted on here and a company FM'ed me. Apparently LewMax's (photographer on here) daughter babysits at hotels for weddings. I thought it would be a great idea, but my OOT guests decided not to come. Try contacting him. Or i can forward you his FM.It is the daughter and her friends (who are all teachers or nurses or learning to be teachers or nurses)

I'll be back from my honeymoon on the 21st.I am a teacher. I started to babysit when I was 13 and I am sure by that point will NEED the money!!!
