Post your Save the Dates
I am getting ready to attempt to put together my own save the date cards. I am giving myself plenty of time, as I would like to get somewhat creative. Of course, now I realize that I am not creative at all, so I need some inspiration. Any ideas or examples would be great, thanks!

Re: Post your Save the Dates
The Martha Stuart Weddings Summer issue had a cute idea!! You can get your picture taken in one of those photobooths and bring the picture of you and your sweetie to a Staples or something like that and have them copy it on to a larger hard card-like paper and fold in half and either hand-write your save-the-date info or have it printed. But I am just a Newlywed Newbie, what do I know?????

Re: Post your Save the Dates
I don't have a scanner, so I can't show a picture.Since my wedding is on the 4th of July, we decided to do the patriotic stuff with the Save The Date info, since it's not as formal as the rest of the wedding. We rented costumes of the Statue of Liberty & Uncle Sam and took a picture, and then had color copies made on paper with a patriotic border that said 'We Want YOU To Come To Our Wedding!' Then we also included a second sheet with contact info, how to get to LI, area tourism info, hotels with blocked rooms, etc.
I think we got a call or e-mail from everyone we sent one to the day they got it in the mail. Most of our family told us they cut out the picture and framed it.

Re: Post your Save the Dates
My fiance and I were just recently engaged on July 31, 2002. We quickly booked our reception at Oceanside Jewish Center for Sunday May 25, 2003.We have already sent out our save the dates because it is a holiday weekend. We actually did a Engagement announcement/ Save the Date. They came out beautiful. I got them at Proper Papers in Plainview. They were custom made by Stacey Claire Boyd. I don't have a scanner but it is hanging on the wall since it came out so beautiful. It is actually two pieces the first is the engagemnt card and then there is a small seperate' calling card that says Save the date, Hillary and Ronald's Wedding, MAy 25, 2003. It was perfect.
I would definately recomend using them. They were very good to work with.
