Has anyone Blocked rooms at the Garden City Hotel?

We are thinking of blocking rooms there for our wedding and just wanted an advice or tips from anyone that has already done so.

Thanks for any help
Kimberly

way to expensive for us. the wingate on steward ave in GC was a very nice alternative, but they were booked up very early for our date. we wound up with the new red roof inn in westbury.

Re: Has anyone Blocked rooms at the Garden City Hotel?

it is not so bad. It is right off the M2E exit, Zeckendorf Blvd. It is brand new, they just finished building it the end of August. There is no bar or restaurant, which were negatives for me, but the rooms are clean, and it still has that new feeling. And, for LI, for 114$ with tax, you can't get any nicer, I don't think. There are no coffee makers in the rooms, which I didn't like....and there is a big Lowe's Hardware opening right across the street. It's more of a business persons hotel I think, but the price was right and I was out of options!

Re: Has anyone Blocked rooms at the Garden City Hotel?

I am blocking off rooms and it will be $189 which I dont think is that bad espeically for this hotel. I thought it would be much more.

When we stayed in the Fox Hollow Inn, last May it was $179. We usually pay about this or 169 when we stay in hotels for weddings.

And I like that there is a bar and restaurant, (also a night club).

thanks ladies
