yay! 2 big checks off the list! (updated with two flower pics)

We booked our last two big vendors today!!!! Cake and flowers. (yes, maybe we're a little late on this but we're OOTers ourselves so it requires weekend trips).

We ordered our wedding cake today!! Mmmmmm.
Buttercream, vanilla cake, strawberry fruit filling and chocolate mouse, and then the top tier for us is chocolate with the same fillings!!

It will be like this picture, but 3 tier and the cake will be sky blue with brown scrolls.

Tom from Audreys bakery was really nice and easy to work with, same with Jen from Verbena designs, who we booked for flowers! Id highly recommend both!!!!! So excited.

For flowers, we're using blue delphiniums, lisianthus, and brown bear grass. My bouquet may look a little similar to this, but more of the blue delph and two of the other flowers arent available for August.


And just to show you an example, the lisianthus are the ivory flowers in this bo-k.

We didnt have to, but chose to bc I love how pretty Audreys cakes are! But our RH will give us a partial reimbursement for using an outside vendor.

Audrey's Bakery is the best!!! That's were I get all of my bakery stuff from, they are so close to my house! I was jumping up and down when my RH added them as a choice to use for the wedding cake!

Woohoo!!!! That cake is going to be gorgeous!!! I'll be so jelly - we have the same wedding colors but my cake will just be white with blue hydrangeas on the top.

I know, Im excited too!!! Im not exactly sure what theyll look like together in that combo either, most times I have seen this type of arrangement with blue hydrangea incorporated too, but we wont be using those since they wilt so quickly in heat, no good for bo-ks.

we were going to do that too! our rh's bakery would do plain white and then we'd use our florist to dress it up, but ive heard so many good things about audreys and fell in love with this look of cake, so we decided its worth a little more and we get a partial reimbursement too so it worked out!
