Sandals - Royal Bahamian

Anyone have any feedback??? We really want to do something all inclusive - and we fell in love with Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort & Spa... Not that we've been there or anything, but just from what we have heard so far, and the pics we've seen too(not that you can only go by that)... But I'd like to hear some new feedback, good or bad, before we decide to book our honeymoon Also, does anyone happen to know when hurricane season is, I'm pretty sure it's during this time, but I was wondering if the Bahamas gets hit or not! I hope not! Thanks again!

Re: Sandals - Royal Bahamian

Oooh, I was in Bahamas the end of August once, and that was the beginning of hurricane season, and right on schedule a hurricane came, luckily it was mild, and didn't really affect Nassau, however, it was a concern, and by October the hurricane season may be in full swing.
Sorry

Re: Sandals - Royal Bahamian

Hi

We went there a few years ago, same time of year, but great weather. the rooms were fine, the food was OK. Would I go again? yes, its really relaxing, but by the 5th day we were ready to get moving again. We did everything they have to offer, except snorkel (they won't let you snorkel close to flying). next time (if there is one) I would
a) get certified for diving before i go
b) plan a trip to Atlantis
c) schedule golf
d) bring a great book

but for value for money, really pleasant staff, and a great place to get away.

Also, there are no KIDS

Re: Sandals - Royal Bahamian

We were there this past April (not for our honeymoon). We were at Sandals in Antigua and thought this Sandals was alot nicer. The only thing was there wasnt much of a beach. I thought it was nice though.

Re: Sandals - Royal Bahamian

Thanks, Cindy, I'm happy for the feedback, b/c for our 1st year anniversary, we plan to go to Sandals, we didn't know which one, and we LOVE the Bahamas
But I had also heard the one in Antigua was nice, not to mention St. Lucia.
Aaaah, decisions, decisions, I guess I should just concentrate on the actual wedding for now, lol

BTW, OctBride, if you decide to go, you MUST do the Dolphin Encounter, that was one of the best days we had there, totally out of this world !!!

Re: Sandals - Royal Bahamian

Lizlen, when we went to Antigua we had alot of problems and so did alot of other couples we met there. The management even admitted to it and gave us all a free trip. That is the trip we used for Bahamas. Just wanted to share that info.. Good luck!!
