Epics Tipping Question

My photographer threw in our e-pics (which we are taking next week). The owner is taking the epics, but he is not shooting our wedding . .what should I tip him, if anything? We are taking the pics at a park near the studio (if we wanted to take them somewhere else- they were no longer 'thrown in' they would cost $300- which he didn't say when I booked them- but i didn't ask either)

I'm not too keen on tipping him very much right now because of the whole location thing- and the fact that I scehduled them for the 23rd a month ago, and they called at the end of last week to reschedule after FH and I secured the day off from work and I made appointments for hair and makeup. Apparently, they realized he was going to be out of town

Anyway- how much should I tip?

Thanks!

Re: Epics Tipping Question

IMO, i wouldn't tip for e-pics, save the tip for the person who does the photography for your wedding. if he owns the business, he's not going to expect a tip anyway - and you have a wedding to pay for!!

FYI - don't let him make you feel as if he is being 'so generous' by throwing the e-pics in for free ... most phtographers do that these days anyway!!

Re: Epics Tipping Question

We tipped our e-pics photog. $20. We felt funny not giving a tip...but the owener of a business should never accept a tip. That would be in bad taste on his part. Enjoy your shoot!!

Re: Epics Tipping Question

well....We did not give our photographer a tip for our e-pics... It just did not seem necessary... On the wedding day, we plan on tipping all our vendors including the photographer... JMO

Re: Epics Tipping Question

I honestly do not think it's necessary to tip for an e-shoot. This is especially true for me if the photog for your eshoot is the same as your wedding day photog (which I believe you said it's not).

However, my FH and I did tip $25 just because we REALLY enjoyed working with our photographer and thought he was great. But we went in thinking we would not be tipping.
