Re: Disney Honeymoon Thread.....Lots of info on every page!

I'd love to stay at the grand floridian but it seems so expensive expecially since we would be spending most of our time at the parks. Where is everyone staying?

Re: Disney Honeymoon Thread.....Lots of info on every page!

I am thinking of staying in the Grand Floridian, at least for 2 nights. Our favorite is the Boardwalk, so we would spend the rest of our time there. It depends on what you want to spend on your HM, it can be quite expensive at Disney.

There are nice villa and condos offsite. Check out all star resort homes dot com.

Re: Disney Honeymoon Thread.....Lots of info on every page!

GF was a few grand above what we wanted to spend total and that didn't include airfare yet but I did put in the dining plan.

I know you can use spas and eat at restaurants at any resort. So I'm wondering how much time you spend at the resort. I'd imagine you'd spend most of your time at the parks. It's a gorgeous hotel!!!

Re: Disney Honeymoon Thread.....Lots of info on every page!

I'm not sure but we checked out the Old Key West and it was almost 7K with a 10 day MYW +PH tickets....that was wayyyy too and that didn't even include the other theme parks like universal, airfare, car rental or food!!!! Althought it was for 2 weeks ....... what we ended up booking was a King suite at another hotel close by and with airfare, car rental, 10 day disney, universal, seaworld and food ....we are paying half that!

Did you try Travelocity? I've booked all my Disney vacations through them and it's great!

For park tickets buy them through AAA and you'll save 10-15%

I guess it helps to be a DVC member

But Port Orleans is one of my favorite resorts on property.

Another cost saving tip is to call and only book the room, that way you only have to pay for one night's stay to book the room. everything else can be purchased separately. it can come out cheaper to book separately sometimes. AAA has the best saving on packages.

You do have to be a member but it's worth it. I'm a gold member and I pay $40 a year. I get free towing for up to 100 miles!

Re: Disney Honeymoon Thread.....Lots of info on every page!

Hey guys we just got back from our Disney honeymoon and it was incredible!!!!

I just wanted to share a little something with future honeymooners ....our friends gave us the Bride/Groom ears @ our wedding and they brought us TONS of magic! We were treated like royalty!

We were constantly pulled out of line and sent through the fast pass, or right to the front of the line, twice we were given our own boat so we could go on the ride alone. We were given free meals, desserts, drinks - it was unreal!!! When we were leaving animal kingdom and heading to the tram a cast member came up to us and offered us a personal ride out to our car aboard her golf cart!

Disney was so awesome, but those ears made it even better!!!! I highly recommend buying them! and if you go to Guest Services in any of the parks, they can give you a "Just Married" pin :)

Have fun ladies!!!!

I am the worst person to ask. I always over pack way too much. I have a small suitcase just for my shoes. There is always a way to fit everything in with me. When we go I wanted to try those bags that suck the air out but I don't know how good they are. I felt I could fit more...haha

We tried those bags, but they don't do much for clothes - they are better for pillows or fluffy stuff.

We both packed really light, 1 dressy outfit, then a few tops and bottoms. The place we stayed had a washer/dryer in the room, so we were able to do laundry during the week. Let me tell you, coming home with suitcased filled with CLEAN clothes was awesome!!!

...I think I must be easy to please
