Re: Disney Honeymoon Thread

We are going to Disney for our honeymoon. One week at the Polynesian. I have never stayed inside Disney, so I am very excited. FH stayed at the Polynesian before, and since our choices for the Honeymoon were Sandals in St. Lucia or Disney..we figured we'd stay at he Polynesian for the island feel..

A couple ideas I had were:
-To buy a Disney wedding ornamnet with the date of our wedding
-Use the photopass in the parks
-Buy stuff from the 'Magical World of Memories' store. They have all kinds of scrapbook stuff, to make a honeymoon album
-Take a picture in our favorite spot in one of the parks, and every year after that we go there, take a pic in that same spot
-Bring baggies to keep stuff in while going on rides, I did that last time I went, and nothing got wet
-Bring pennies for the penny souvenier machines

We also booked Discovery Cove, it is not far from Disney, you get to swim around with Flipper!

Please add some ideas or advice, maybe we'll end up seeing something in this thread, that we wouldn't have thought of ourselves...to make our trips better!!!!

Re: Disney Honeymoon Thread

WhoooHoooo For Disney!!!! We are going there for our HM but we have not booked anything yet...my boss has a timeshare there and said we can use it sooooo we just haven't gotten to the details of everything yet but I'm super excited!!! I haven't been there since 1989 and we are both huge Disney fans ..... one of my missions is to take a pic w/ Dopey he's my fav and maybe sort of reenact the engagement w/ him cause that's originally how FH wanted it to go down but we just couldn't get there.

So keep the idea's rollin

Re: Disney Honeymoon Thread

Yay Disney! We are spending week one of our honeymoon in Jamaica, just the two of us and then bringing our families to Disney for week two. We have a whole house rented out at Summer Bay! I can't wait to walk around the park in our mickey and minnie bride and groom hats! Anyone know if there is a place you can swim with dolphins in orlando? I found Discovery Cove does it but the prices are insane.

The Disney Honeymoon Registry...

Are you ladies doing it? I just got a card in the mail for it last week.

Here is the link if you are interested:

You can register for parts of your honeymoon, I thought it was a great idea, FH didn't like it, he wants the traditional registry Ah well..

Re: Disney Honeymoon Thread

Awesome thread. I will be going to Disney literally next Thursday for our honeymoon and to be honest I am more excited for Disney then my wedding. I can't wait. Some highlights that we have plan:
Dinner at Victoria & Alberts
Circus Solei
Dinner at the Contemporary overlooking fireworks.

Anyone with additional ideas we can do while we are there?

Re: Disney Honeymoon Thread

FH came to me and said he decided he would like to go to Disney for the HM. I'm worried because that's not exactly what comes to mind when I think of a romantic vacation (for adults). But to keep an open mind can anyone offer info and activity ideas?

Re: Disney Honeymoon Thread

You can reserve a carriage ride, and ask them for one that is around the time of the fireworks. They offer them at several locations, when I called to make my dinner reservations, she told me about it.....You could go to the spa at the Grand Floridian, eat dinner at the California Grill and watch the fireworks at the same time, go to Discovery Cove and swim with the dolphins, go to Pleasure Island for some drinks and partying.

Some of the resorts have beautiful beaches. Do you know where you are staying yet?

No we haven't officially started making our plans yet but when I asked him where he'd like to go he said Disney. We were originally thinking of an AI resort like Sandals but he said he doesn't like hot weather I don't get it either!

Re: Disney Honeymoon Thread

The most romantic thing to do at Disney IMO is to rent a private yacht and watch the fireworks over the castle. You can rent the yacht from the Grand Floridian, they can provide drinks and decorations.

here is the info
