Isn't there anything your gyno can do to induce your period? What about an emergency contracepitve pill or something... I'm guessing that has hormones in it though. ( I know nothing really about birth control because I don't take it) If you have it for your wedding will it be almost over or just starting? At least it will not be there for your whole honeymoon.
I believe it will be right in the middle of my cycle. I will just have to deal with it....
I wish they can induce it somehow!

2 - I now am on the Nuva Ring - which is fantastic! You insert it up the Va JJ (Grey's Anatomy plug) and leave it up there for a month. The medicine goes directly into the girly parts where it's needed - it doesn't go through your blood stream at all, and therefore I wouldn't think it would interfere with the auras....but, I could be wrong which is why you should ask.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE! Nuva Ring Information
In relevant part, that product information states: "The Ring is inserted by the woman into the vagina similar to inserting a tampon. It remains there for three weeks, releasing the hormones into the blood stream."
The medication STILL gets absorbed by your body whether you take it orally or vaginally or through a patch. To the OP, it may be worth getting a second opinion -- talk to your doctor. BC is hormonal and needs to be absorbed to work - it isn't a topical solutions, even if you do get it through the ring or the patch.
Most of these BC products all have the same side effect warnings. It doesn't matter how you take them.
Please get a second opinion from a DOCTOR and don't rely on things said there.
GEEZ, sorry! Ok, I was wrong about that part..... NOTE: my last statement of that post: I could be wrong which is why you should ask.
My main point was to get a second opinion b/c there are things that can be done to accomodate neurological situations like auras, seizures etc.... Of course she shouldn't rely on info given here, mine or anyone elses.

Go to www.mymonthlycycles.com and you will be able to tentatively calculate your periods for the next year. I did it and that's how I discovered I will more than likely be having mine for the honeymoon, so I somewhat understand how the OP feels, however I will be able to go on BC. So your gyno is telling you that there is nothing he can do??!!

Re: I think I am going to have my monthly friend for my wedding day!!
I just did some calculating the other day & if mine comes every 28 days for the next 3 months, I'll get my period the day before my wedding! Then it can ruin most of our honeymoon too. Fortunately, my cycles are usually longer than 28 days so I should miss the wedding day, but it still may crash our honeymoon. We're taking a short (4-day) honeymoon so if I really hard I may be okay. I understand what you're going through though. It totally *****!
