Windows on the Lake
Anyone ever hear of it or been there? I know they have big time package deals and was wonderingif they were any good. Also I hear The Inn in New Hyde Park does it also.

Re: Windows on the Lake
FH and i went to look at Windows on the Lake...i live in Nassau county and have a lot of people traveling to the wedding so i didnt want them to have to go out that far.
The food was great and the BM was great too. Truthfully, it was not what we were looking for..they have an awning out front that was discolored and the cocktail room seemed small. One thing that was important to us was that everyone could sit during cocktail hour and they did not have enough charis to accommodate 150 people.
It wasn't bad...just not us. Good Luck and have fun looking!

Re: Windows on the Lake
My company had our x-mas party there last year. Honestly, I was not thrilled with the place. It is across from the lake, not on it. The service wasn't that great. We had empty plates on our table for a good hour before they were taken away. The food wasn't that great either. I didn't like the set up in the room we were in. You had to squeeze between tables to get to the food display, but we had a buffet so if you're doing a sit down this prob won't be an issue. And the bathrooms weren't dirty, but there wasn't anyone in there keeping it clean either. HTH!
