My Daughter's Wedding in Great Neck. Yan (the owner) is so wonderful!! She has a lot to choose from and you can things on most of the styles. My mom is 5'2' and her dress came out gorgeous. We took pictures when we picked it up last week. (I'll try to remember to post them when I get home) She also custom makes gowns. She sketches everything out for you. She is really an artist and not just a dress sales lady. If I'd known about her before I got my gown, I definitely would have looked into her making it.
But we looked almost everywhere for my mom and we also saw nice things at
Philly's
Peggy's
Iman
En Toto

My mom got hers at Filly's in Albertson on Willis Ave. They had a great selection.

My mom got her dress for both my wedding and my brothers at Lestan's in Brooklyn. She is about 5'2' and a size 6..so I guess she is considered petite. She is also a young mom so she wanted a dress that was too old-fashened. Her dresses are beautiful!

My mom got a gorgeous dress at Lord and Taylor in NYC. She is 5', but a solid size 12 or 14. She's been dieting/working out for the past year or so...and looks beautiful in her dress. So proud of her. Luckily, her neighbor is a seamstress, so alterations were easy.

OHH! Thanks guys.. My mommy is a small one too.. she's 5 feet tall and weighs 100 pounds.. with big tatas! lol

I second my daughter's wedding in great neck they were so helpful for my mom!!! It took a while for my mom's dress to come in so yes, start now

My mom is just wearing a bridesmaid dress that doesn't look bridesmaidy and I have to say it looks great! Yeah my mom is 62 but she looks 42 and she thought a lot of the MOB dresses looked too old and frunpy...but hey if ya look young and have the body for it, I say you can really find nice mom dresses/gowns in the BM section.
