Wedding review as a guest...Royalton/Renegade
Yesterday one of my oldest family friends got married at the Royalton in the Roslyn Country Club.Royalton
Beautiful place! service was really nice. valet opened the door for me (passenger) and they had someone else standing there opening the door. i thought that was a nice touch.
the invitation said 4:30pm. I live in bay ridge, so I gave myself an hour and a half to get there. FH and I got there at 4:15. At 4:30 they moved us to the chapel part. I know normally people put 15 minutes early (which i did), but they put a half hour early. we all sat there for over a half hour. the ceremony started at 5:15. nothing major, but a little annoying to wait.
cocktail hour was very nice. they had the outside area set up and the inside had nice couches. the only problem was there wasn't enough places to sit so most of us were relying on people to hold our drinks while we ate. the food was really good...for what I ate. im on a strict diet, so i didnt eat much. but again the service was wonderful. someone was always walking around taking plates and cups.
the reception room was BEAUTIFUL!!! i dont know the name of the florist she used but i can find out if anyones interested. the flowers were gorgeous. i havent uploaded my pics, but ill do it when i get home.
when the waitstaff went around taking our order i made specific requests on how to make the food (again, strict diet) and they were great about it. the waiter even came up to me while i was dancing to confirm what i ordered to make sure.
as the night got darker, they had the lights dim and the candles on the table illuminated the whole room. sooooo pretty.
overall i give the Royalton an A+.

OMG!!!! anyone who booked them will not be sorry. they were amazing. we were dancing the whole night. the lead singer has an amazing voice! normally im not a fan of bands, but they were great. the only bad thing about them is theyre crazy expensive!!!
Dress
The bride wore a Priscilla. i dont know which one, but ill post pics. it was gorgeous!!!
Hope this helps.

The cocktail hour seating issue concerned me at first - especially since I'm getting married in November and it may not be warm enough to have seating outside. But the more I think about it - cocktail hours aren't supposed to be seated affairs. People are supposed to walk around and mingle, otherwise it would just be another banquet hall....Welcome New Vendors
