NWR: Just came back from the new Harry Potter movie!
A friend got us passes to an advance screening, so we got to see it for free a day early!! I thought it was good but probably not the best one. It was VERY true to the book, which is good for people who didn't like the artsy-fartsy stuff they tried to do in the 3rd movie. Luckily though they didn't keep every last plot detail in, or the movie would have been like 5 hours long!
As much as I liked it, though, I have to say that it wasn't as exciting as it used to be to sit through the movie knowing exactly what was going to happen and knowing what happens in future plots, especially since I just reread book 6 in preparation for book 7 arriving in my mailbox soon. Still, it was cool to see how they brought some of the concepts to life. Harry fans will be pleased!!!

I cant wait to see it! But, I have to wait till it comes out on DVD because I cant go to the movies because I am highly allergic to popcorn!

omg that STINKS!!! more for the allergy part than for having to wait to see HP. this woman i work with constantly burns popcorn in the microwave. you'd kill her.

You are SO lucky you got to see an advanced screening.. I have to wait til NEXT FRIDAY to see it bc that's when me and DH will be off together.. I am so mad!!!

You are so lucky! I wanted to go to the midnight showing of it but can't find anyone to go with me. FH has to be up at 6am for work and he is not really a fan. I have been re-reading all of the books as I count down to the last one. I can't believe it's almost here.

I'm glad to hear it was good! I thought it would suck because the 5th book was the longest one. I'm going with FH at midnight to see it
