Religious song suggestions for unity candle lighting?

Help! I am required by my church to select all sacred music for our ceremony. I don't have a problem with the processional (Canon for the bridesmaids, Clarke's Trumpet Voluntary for me) and I don't care too much what they sing as a responsorial psalm between the readings, but I would really like sometime nice for the unity candle lighting. Someone suggested Ave Maria...does anyone have other ideas?? I am probably having a friend from college sing whatever song this will be, so I don't want it to be TOO overly religious.

What about 'The Wedding Song' also called 'There is Love'...very common for church celebrations. My church even has it on their suggested list of songs. It is really nice and your church shouldn't have an issue with it. We are using it for our Unity Candle lighting. And then also using Ave Maria at communion.

I've never heard of it, is it a sacred song? Who is the composer so I can maybe try to find it?

I'm sorry I can't help with the composer but I used 'The Wedding Song' for my ceremony - Actually my dad sang it (and played his guitar) for us during the service. It is a beautiful song.

It's called 'The Wedding Song (There Is Love)' and it's by Paul Stookey. You should probably be able to hear it on Amazon.com or something like that.
