Finally get to pick up my ring!!!!!! (UPDATE w.pics)
I finally get to pick up my E-ring today!!
let me explain .. I've been wearing my Great grandmother's engagement ring which is almost 100 years old. It is beautiful and my grandmother gave it to us ( me and FH ) on my 21st birthday... But what i had decided awhile back was that i really wanted to use the diamond from my grandfather's ring that i was given(he passed away 7yrs ago from cancer).. it is a beautiful mine cut diamond and i just felt that since he couldn't be here with us it would be super special to have that be the biggest part of my engagement ring. So when FH decided to propose he took me to the jewelery store to pick out a setting.. and while it was being made we decided i would wear great grandmas ring! Well it's ready!! I finally get to go pick it up at 12:30!!!! I AM SOOOO EXCITED!! To make it more special we have decided to use the saphires in the ring in FHs wedding band.. so this really means a lot to me!!! I will post pics as soon as i can get a good one!!! WOO HOO!! 
ETA: Finally got it!! Here are some pics.. hope they came out ok!! ! i'm so excited.. i really love it!

yes i was thinking a necklace would be really nice! it's so pretty and so special that i don't want to change it.. before we were engaged i wore it on a chain around my neck.. i had to have it resized because my fingers are so small ( like a 5.5 on my ring finger..) so until i find something special i will probably keep it on my right hand. it's a very small diamond..they couldn't afford much.. which makes it so much more special to me because we can't afford much either.. so being able to use such special pieces of my family means a lot!!! :)

It's SO beautiful! That is such a thoughtful way to utilize something from your family...and for him to use the sapphires is just incredible! Grandpa was ballin' with a diamond like that in his watch! LOL
