I am not doing any kind of guest book or anything like that. So don't feel bad.

I didn't do one. Just didn't interest me at all. No regrets here.

Re: Is everyone doing some sort of Guest book?
We did one but it really wasn't worth it. Not everyone signs them. We only got a few pages filled and most only signed their name (and some you can't even read). I wouldn't worry about it.

Re: Is everyone doing some sort of Guest book?
we did the wishbowl & it worked out great! Some of the notes were really funny. We also had a bible given to us by our officiant that everyone signed.I was not sure if it was going to be worth it, but I'm glad I did it.

Re: Is everyone doing some sort of Guest book?
I saw in one of the magazines were they had guests sign a champign bottle. They had one of the bridal party members go around to the tables having guests sign. If you have a large wedding you can have them sign several. It would make a nice reminder of yor special day, not to mention how much fun it would be to drink on your special anniversaries.

Re: Is everyone doing some sort of Guest book?
I am not having a guest book. I had one at the engagement party and only a few people actually filled it out. I figure people will put some best wishes in the cards which we can have. Although I think the champagne idea is cute!

Re: Is everyone doing some sort of Guest book?
It is definetely your choice---we did one, but we had a sign beside it saying 'WIT, WISDOM, & WISHES' and we asked people to write something funny about us or wishes, or any words of wisdom. It turned out great! We didn't read it until we were on the plane going to our honeymoon, and we just read it again on our one year anniversary! Our guests wrote really beautiful things in there.

Re: Is everyone doing some sort of Guest book?
We had a traditional guestbook, as well as guestbowl a la Martha Stewart. We had a stand next to the bowl saying 'Please leave us a note, please drop us a line, add advice on marriage, to stand the test of time'Not every guest wrote down their thoughts, but those that did are such sweet comments....we both loved reading them after the wedding!

Re: Is everyone doing some sort of Guest book?
We did an ordinary guestbook and only about 6 people signed it. I like the idea of a wishbowl because lots of people can write at one time - they can even take a card to their seat and fill it out.

Re: Is everyone doing some sort of Guest book?
I did one, and found it to be pretty pointless. I did a ceramic plate that people signed (I painted it myself at one of those ceramic places) and brought it to the rehearsal dinner, where most of the really important people to us would be. The guest book from the wedding I just looked at the other day and thought, why did I bother with this?

Re: Is everyone doing some sort of Guest book?
I did this type of guestbook and I have to tell you honestly, I was against the traditional guestbook since you know everyone who was coming! LOL. But THIS was such a huge hit with my guests and my husband and I were dying reading some of the responses after. Also see a close up of what it looks like. I provided markers on everyone's table and people drew pics like there was no tomorrow and gave us advice and predicted when we would have our first kids. It was great and I am so glad I did it. If you need more info about it, let me know!
