some DIY placecard HELP

Hello ladies, i am having some problems with my placecards. You see, i wanted to print out the names and table #s on them at home using my printer....and after going out, buying printer ink (which was $$$), i discovered that my printer is damaged (it grabs the paper crooked). I hadnt used it for a while because i was away at college, and when it ran out of ink (back in 2005 ), i figured i'll just print everything i needed to on campus. So now i'm stuck with a broken printer, and alot of placecards to make. Should i just write everything on the placecard by hand, or will that be too sloppy....also, does anyone know of someone who does caligraphy (CHEAP being the key word)....Please help, i'm running out of time...

Re: some DIY placecard HELP

Anyway you can do it after work in your office? You can try checking with Kinko to see if they can print from your file with paper you supply them. I know that at my library there are rooms with computers and printers that you can use to print out files. See if your local library has that option.

Re: some DIY placecard HELP

I would definitely try Kinkos or Staples has a print center that is even cheaper. Make the template on your computer using Microsoft Word, and then save it on a removable USB. Have them print and cut it for you. It will not cost you a lot. I needed to do some inserts for my invitations, and I did it this way, but on resume paper instead of card stock - which is what you will probably use for the place cards.

Re: some DIY placecard HELP

Could you use a friends computer? That is what I would try first before you run to Staples or Kinkos! Also I don't think it would bad if you hand wrote them. When you put your personal touch on something people appreciate it more, plus remember the only one keeping the placecard is maybe your mom. I wouldn't waste the money if you don't have to. I would hit up your BP first!! GL
