Is anyone having their mom and dad walk them down the aisle?

My cousin did that and i thought it was sooooooo nice. Her mom was ecstatic that she was part of the ceremony. I'm 100% going to do it, because my mom played a big part in raising me, not just my dad! She is so excited I asked her to do that.

i havent decided yet... i want my mom to be a part of the ceremony, but my dad and i are like best friends so i really want that to be like a me and him thing... but i definitely want my mom to do something in the ceremony... like something big.. .i dunno yet.

I know it's a Jewish tradition to have both parents walk down the aisle...i'm suprised it's not in every religion!

I first heard of this when I took a marriage class in college... And ever since then, I said I was going to have both mom and dad walk me down the aisle... I also wanted FH to come down the aisle with his parents too... Like in the very beginning of the procession so everyone has an equal time to shine

My father died when I was 1yr and my stepfather and I don't have a good relationship. So, I have to decide who will walk me down.

I want my mom to walk me down the aisle cause my father and I don't have the greatest relationship but when i told my mom she was not happy that I left him out and thought she thought it was out of spite! (so what!) Anyway having them both walk me down the aisle is the compromise....

I am having my Mom and Dad walk me down the aisle. I want both of them to be apart of my big day. Asking my Mom to walk me down the aisle with my Dad meant a lot to her she was so happy and excited. Now I am very happy and excited about it.

It's so funny that you bring this up because I was just thinking about this last night.

I know usually the father walks the bride down the isle and I love my Dad to pieces....but I would love it if my Mom could be there too! She is my absolute best friend in the whole entire world and I would be lost without her. On the other hand I don't want to hurt my Dads feelings because I know that he is looking so foward to it (well he doesnt want to walk me down the isle - he would be perfectly happy if I never got married ) but I think it's a great idea to show the people who have raised you how much you really cherish them.

And plus my Mom is going to be such a huge part in the planning she went around to every RH with me....well i have just babbled but yes I love the idea of both parents

i think i might just have my dad but that sounds like a good idea i might do that... HMMM thanks for that lil tid bit there.

I'm definitly having both my parents walk me down the aisle. I think that mom my deserves that honor just as much as my dad does.

Sorry to Crash but I wanted my sister and dad to walk me (my mother passed away) but I wasnt sure if I should get a Bo-K since I have two people at my side. For any of the girls who are having both parents will you have a bo-k?

We just went to a wedding this past weekend where the bride had her mom and dad walk her down. I think its a really nice idea and something I will definitely think about! She had a Bo-K but it wasn't a big one just a bundle of callalillies.

SO I ASKED MY MOM TODAY...and she said no? She said that it's my Dad's big day with me and he should be the one to walk me down the isle...I wanted to cry...go figure!

I have seen it done, mom and dad walking the bride down the isle, my cousin just got married and had her mom and brother, her father had passed away. I'm having my son walk me down, my mom doesn't want all eyes on her . I'd love to have my mom do it but, I respect her desion.
