A BIG pet peave about a coworker of mine....LONG semi-pointless rant!

Why is it that whenever this guy wants to tell me a story about his sex-capades, complain about money or babble about anything I sit there quietly and listen to the whole story let him talk and say whatever he has to say then when he's FINISHED I'll add my two cents or just reply...but whenever I go to say anything to this person or during any conversation to any of the few people in my office I ALWAYS get interrupted in the middle by him and he'll either start with disagreeing with whatever I'm saying (even if there's nothing to possibly disagree with) or he'll just start telling a story about him something he's done similar or what not.

It for real pisses me off so much, it's not even about being in the 'spotlight' of telling a story but today just aggravated me alot because he does stuff like this all the time. I had to take a longer than usual lunch break today because when I got home to check on Daisy she had an accident in her cage and well it got ALL OVER!!!!! So when I walked in I just said (not even to him...to my boss) I'm sorry I'm late then I began to continue with what happened. In the middle of me saying it he's like ooh no my dog would never do anything like that she will hold it for hours and hours until we get home, blah blah blah then begins to tell a story about it. In my nicest voice possible I'm like Omar she's freakin 6 weeks old she's a baby?!?! Then he's like well even when she was a puppy she'd only go on the wee wee pad etc. Then I made it obvious and was like 'Ok STEPH (my boss) I'm sorry I was late but I know YOU understand! (She just got a puppy as well she goes home on her lunch breaks as well). Then I just turned around.

I can't stand people who no matter what you say to them they've been there already, know about it already, done it already, heard about it already, hate it, etc. etc.

ME: So I went to the moon today...
HIM: Ooh I want there already last year, nothing special, but while we were on the moon, blah blah blah blah blah

That's what happens to me too...I have the memory of a freakin goldfish, about 30 second long then I forget!!!

you just need to start doing that back to him haha

he may not even realize that he is doing that... he may just be trying to be friendly and have converstation.. as annoying as it maybe...

sorry though.. that is really a pain in the arse!

Oh, that s*cks! I hate people like that! Some people just have no social graces or feel inferior and need to hear them selves all the time! I really dont know what their deal is, but its annoying...LOL
