Want to hear my Wedding Changes?

So after a lot of talking my FH and I decided to cancel our RH and get married with close family and friends on an Island. We chose an island already and got in touch with a planner who sent us a lot of information. I just have to get back to her and book the date (which is available and is the same date i have now). I cant say the island just yet because it's not booked and you never know who's lurking..
I'm very happy im doing this b/c i really wasnt happy about how big our wedding was getting as well as how expensive it was going to be.
My life with my FH (and where we are going to live) is more important to me than one big day to celebrate our love. My family is all happy that they are going to take a vacation in 2 years LOL and they are all supportive. It's intimate and much more me!

And im not moving to the destination wedding forum b/c there is no one there!! im staying here with my 09 girls!!!!!!!!

Congrats!! I was going to get married in Jamaica..I had it all figured out, then plans changed. Good luck with your planning and let us know all the details once you book it!!

As long as you 2 are happy that's all that matter's. I might have done a DW but I couldn't imagine getting married without my grandmother there she's to old to fly.

best of luck to you! A friend of ours did the same. They were booked somewhere and changed their minds, went to Hawaii-had a beach ceremony, took pics(which by the way were beautiful) and couldnt be any happier. They also have a son now too

Wow! Good for you guys! Its smart of you to think about your future and not do the huge wedding thing. Who wants to start married life off in debt!? I'm sure your destination wedding will be absolutley amazing!
