Re: wording on invites...kind of a silly question
My FH and I have middle names but we're not putting them on the invite. We have never been called by them. He doesn't like his and I'm losing my middle name when I change my name so I don't see the point.

Don't stress it. If he likes his middle name, use it, but don't feel like you have to be identical. Be who you are. They'll be gorgeous.

Re: wording on invites...kind of a silly question
Same situation here, FH actually DOES use his middle name (with his friends and family)and I do not. I am putting mine on the invitation though, so it could be consistent. But this is not mandatory, it's personal preference really. I don't ever use my middle name, but it doesnt bother me at all to include it on the invitation. It's really up to you. How do you feel? And is FH pressing you to include yours?

Re: wording on invites...kind of a silly question
I don't have a middle name - but my husband does. On our invitations we put Vicki to David Andrew, and it looked fine.I didn't use my confirmation name because I didn't want to misleda (for lack of a better word) people who've known me all my life and knew that I don't have a middle name.

Re: wording on invites...kind of a silly question
either way is fine. I have a middle name that I use all the time FH does not. But I put mine on there anyway. I think it looks great....it would look wierd to me if I did not put it on there.

We are in same situation. FH has a middle name and I don't. We will use his and I think it will look fine. I have seen other invitations like this and they looked perfectly fine.

Re: wording on invites...kind of a silly question
I just got an invitation recently where the bride did not put her middle name, but the groom did. Honestly I noticed right away, and thought it looked a little inconsistent. But that could be because I am scrutinizing all wedding stuff since I am getting married next year

Re: wording on invites...kind of a silly question
I had the same problem, I wanted to use my middle name and my fi hates his middle name, so mine is on the invite and his is not and it still looks perfect!

Re: wording on invites...kind of a silly question
I used mine since I always do. My DH doesn't like his so never uses it. I had mine on the invites, not his and it was fine.

Re: wording on invites...kind of a silly question
We put my middle name(all of my names are short)& DH's middle initial-he uses it for everything. His names are long so it looked balanced that way.
Also we used Richard on our invites, but just Rich on favors & everything else.

Re: wording on invites...kind of a silly question
I kinda have a similar problem. We both have middle names but my FH hates his and doesn't like to use it. He uses his middle initial though. I on the other hand want to use my middle name on the invitations. I was thinking of using my first, middle and last name, and using FH's first, middle initial and last name. I don't think it will look bad. It's really up to you and how you feel about it anyway.
