Quick Review of TGCC wedding

Last saturday was FBILs wedding at Tall Grass Country Club.

It was really nice and had alot of personal touches...unfortunately I forgot to get pics of the seating cards and the way they were presented (hung on clothes pins on string between 2 maypole wrapped poles) and the menus (she copied a Vera Wang design she saw in a magazine).

The food was ok- everyone was raving about it...I didn't like the pastas at CH- but the eggplant rollatini was good.

Dinner was also ok- I got the Chicken stuffed with spinach in puffed pastry, FH got the mahi mahi, which was a little fishy. Everyone who got the filet mignon and shrimp scampi raved about it.

The cake was yummy and moist, I think it came from Create-A-Cake...

The staff was great at TGCC, everything was on point- except one bartender was a little gruff and kinda rude.

The DJ/MC, Kevin from Long Island Sound was AWESOME! He rocked! (which is great because he's MC-ing our wedding next week!)

I was a little upset because they copied our CH entertainment (an acoustic vocalist/guitarist- only I have a duo) and they used a few of the songs I was going to use for the same things (ie- garter removal, cake cutting...) but, can't hold a grudge....

Although, I did tell them months ago about our CH singer and how I was so excited because its a bit different, and they never once mentioned that they went and did the same thing...I thought I was going to burst into tears...but, in the scheme of life...these are small gripes.
