How far apart should the shower and wedding be?

What is the normal range for how far apart showers are to the wedding?? I am tring to give my MOH a time frame for my shower and tring to figure out when to have hers, (we are both getting married next year and are each others MOH). My wedding is the first week in July and her's is the first week in October. Is there a usual time period between them?

I think 3-4 months prior.

That should be fine. I did a May shower for my friend's September wedding.

I had mine yesterday and my wedding is 11/3..just a little before the two month mark. I think anywhere from 2-3 months is good.

It's usually 2 or 3 months before, can be a month before. Mine was June 2nd and my wedding was August 11th.

DH's cousin is getting married October 27th and her shower was this past Saturday.

I'm also getting married in July and my shower will probably be late march or april... a major bonus of doing it then will be getting it in before all your guests also have communions, confirmations, mothers day, college graduations, etc.. then there are conflicts.. those occasions all usually start late april and early may.. (not everyone is catholic, obviously, but this year I attended THREE communion parties I was invited to all in ONE weekend the first week of May)
