Any Disney Honeymooners???

We're going to Disney but waiting until December for better weather and hurricane season to be over with. We're also driving down and making a fun road trip out of it, stopping along the way at nice places, etc. We're going to try for the whole month of December, if he can get the time off. We'll come back around the 22nd, right before Christmas. I was wondering if anyone used any travel places to help you plan and if you'd recommend anyone and how much they charge?? We are going to work on booking, etc after the wedding. Also, if you've been there before and what hotels in the park that you'd highly recommend for honeymooners?? I was there 15 years ago, and we stayed out of the park. I LOVE the Grand Floridian, but I heard the noise level isn't that great. I would HIGHLY recommend Deb's Unnofficial Guide to Walt Disney World(I think that's the name). You can get it on Amazon for about $12. It has EVERYTHING in it...what hotels are good for who and when, best times to go to the parks, go on rides, secrets to things, it's about 800 pages, so you can imagine what it has in it!! I have to look through it, but in the meantime figured I'd ask anyone on here that has experience. Thanks girls!!

Re: Any Disney Honeymooners???

FH & I go to disney like 4 times a year (this year its 5 times! we r weirdos!)

not sure how much you are looking to spend on your hotel but the grand floridian is the most expensive disney hotel there is! and disney has different "seasons" for pricing...the holiday season in december being the most $$$$$

if you are looking to spend as less money as possible you can try any one of the value resorts...they r the cheapest. aimed more towards kids.

there is the next step up which is the moderate resorts which are kind of "in the middle." i highly recommend "Coronado Springs" for your honeymoon. sooo nice there!!!

i could go on and on forever for i will shut up now & just give you this website:

www.wdwig.com

it has all the info you could ever want to know.

and if you are wondering about packages/etc...go to www.disneyworld.com & you can price out packages that way!

def do the dining plan if you go...its def worth it!! ;)

hope i didnt confuse you too much!

Re: Any Disney Honeymooners???

im going to disney on my honeymoon also!!! ill be there the same time as you!! the 10th to the 19th!!
most of the december month is actually value season, up until the week of xmas , maybe the week before. we are getting the value rate when we go. cheapest time!!! and we always go this time of year, everything is decorated so lovely for xmas and they have so much to do for the holidays!!! also, its less crowded which we loveeee!!!
my FH and i are staying at Port orleans riverside, its a moderate resort, we arent going to be in the rooms really. they are all nice...
try not to stay in the value resorts because thats where most of the kids are, and tends to be more noisy...
you can fm me if you want more details!!!!

I am actual going to Disneyland in CA for my honeymoon. I live 1/2 hour away from Disney World so I been there numerous times and we never been to Disneyland so it should be exciting.
