Your Wedding Date...

we still havent set a date yet (which we have some time) but what made you pick YOUR date? how did you decide?

Well it was definitely cheaper to do a wedding in September and we got engaged a 20th, so our wedding is on a 20th.

i am thinking June or Sept 09. We got engaged June 8 of this year so i was thinking maybe June 7, 09 (since the 8th is a monday)

Our anniversary is 2-2-01... I know I could only pick from like the months of July and Aug and wanted to stick with the #2 so 8-2-09 it is!!! Plus, its actually national friendship day and fh is my best friend before anything so i thought that was corny yet adorable and fitting

you can choose the date based on a bunch of things. You can try to do it during a season you like so you can enjoy the time of year and try to incorporate it into your wedding if anything... I chose the date in September (well its an approximate date). I knew I wanted it in the Fall because I love Fall and my wedding will have the fall colors.. so that how I chose the fall month... I read one of the replies but did not know if was cheaper to do in September - but YAY!!

we started w/ the season we liked...both agreed that we liked september.

i wanted 9/19/09 b/c I liked the way it sounded but it was booked. didnt want the week after b/c it was too close to FH b-day, didnt want the week before b/c it was too close to 9/11 so by process of elimination we got 09/05/09.

We wanted winter and I didn't want Feb b.c. I didn't want to get too close to V-day and since we wanted a sunday and it was winter we figured having MLK day the next day will help some people that are traveling and hopefully they will have off from work

I chose Apr 2, 2009 because on that day God willing my grandparents will be married for 60 years. What a better way to start a marriage.

i am kind of obsessed with patterns in numbers, so i needed to either have a significant day, or some kind of pattern... there were no significant days that matched a weekend, so i looked for a pattern and found 04/05/09... 4+5=9 :)

We originally wanted new years eve because that is our anniversary...but when we saw that our RH had an outside deck we wanted to be able to get married outside....so we both LOVE halloween and it falls on a saturday so we went with it...and fall is my favorite season...so it was just perfect.

I always saw my wedding as a May wedding.... we took the 23rd bc we started dating July 23rd may 23 '09 falls on a saturday so it was perfect!

Our anniversary is October 30th. As a first date, we went to a haunted house. Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday and when I saw it fell on a Saturday, I knew it had to be October 31st!
